There's no reason not to though. That's like playing a game of baseball (For fun...) and deciding you feel like using a plastic bat instead of a metal one.
You might enjoy it, but there's no reason to handicap the team like that :/
It's not that hard to just equip solar weapons, unless you dont have any (Or they don't work well), then no big deal.

It's not handicapping the team in any way shape or form though.

Edited by SweetOrngVegRoot: 9/9/2016 11:44:40 PMIt is if they're using knucklehead radar on chaff... Or during solar burn in the the bond brothers strike, it could go so much faster (As in less opportunities to die) if people put even the slightest bit of effort into using the modifiers to their advantage. I'm not saying everyone needs to be a tryhard strike speed runner, I just don't see a reason to put yourself at a disadvantage just because you didn't switch weapons. It takes almost no time at all... So unless they're doing a bounty/trying out something/Leveling something, I just won't be able to understand.

Meh, don't really see it that way. Strikes for me is just a casual pve activity where I get to play around with any guns/classes I want to without having to worry. It's not about efficiency for me, I just want to have fun along the road. For me all the weapons are not the same or play the same way so can't really relate to the whole example about bats. But if it's a real problem for other people that you get paired up with people who are using whatever in heroic strikes i'd advise you to find a private group and decide ahead to play that way if you want to be effective about it.

Like I said, you don't have to, I just don't see a reason not to when it's only a button or two to equip one... If I end up in a strike with people using different elemental weapons, I don't think it's a big deal (Unless it's a striker during solar burn...that's a little annoying). If it's my first strike and it's taking an obnoxiously long time, I'll leave at the end and start up a new one. If it's not my first strike, I'll stick it out and hope they leave.

There is a reason not to though, you just don't see it. Maybe, just maybe, the strike has been beaten sooooo many times that the guy just wants to make it harder. Well shit! That doesn't make any sense though. Neither does Chinese but people still speak it.

I know people have different opinions on the matter, I just don't understand the need people have to purposely use different weapons outside the modifiers. If you really don't care, whatever, it's not that big a deal. Yet, there are some people who don't want to follow the modifier because it's too "easy". I get people may have different perceptions of fun in a strike, but I don't know why they have to handicap the team on purpose... And yes, I could go with a full fireteam, but that works both ways. If someone wants to challenge themselves, why don't they join a fireteam? The point is, it's not the end of the world if I'm in a strike with someone who won't make use of the modifiers, I just leave at the end and join a new strike. So you, do you :/

Fun is the reason. Chinese does make sense, just not for you.
