I think Xbox players should speak with their wallets. Refuse to buy RoI and any other DLCs/sequels Destiny releases. See how much changes when nearly half of the income for Destiny's further sales isn't hitting their bank account. As for the valiant defenders of this decision on here commenting, your egocentrism is shining brightly right now, and I'd wager the vast majority of you are PS4 owners who don't care because they can't empathize with anything outside their own selfish bubbles, and/or they're too entrenched in this "console war" BS to see that this exclusives crap as a whole does nothing but hurt us players/consumers while overfilling the pockets of the ones hurting us with their back-alley deals. I'd also like to note that what the OP said in a later reply is very true (paraphrasing): people who fervently defend any and all actions of these developers, or are merely indifferent or try to demonize those who bring up valid points that need to be addressed, only enable stagnation where making a game better is concerned. Constructive criticism, and bringing to light deplorable business models, is what keeps the business on its toes and makes for better gaming experiences overall.

 •
I'd wager the vast majority of you are PS4 owners who don't care because they can't empathize with anything outside their own selfish bubbles
Fine. How about the division. Or call of duty. Xbox users get early access to that content. I'm not saying I agree with the business model. I would prefer each console to have access to the same content for cross platform games as well. But on the business end of things I'm sure you understand why it's a good decision on their end to make this contracts with one console. I'm not sure how much Sony paid for a small amount of additional content but from Activision/bungies position I'm sure they made more money on the deal than they will lose from a handful of Xbox players not purchasing DLC. Besides, let's face it, they know most people who say they're upset and will refuse to buy/play their game are going to cave and do it anyways. There is a difference between defending a decision and understanding it. I'm sure that you understand that as you seem to be an educated person. I know the type of person you're taking about, the "lol get rekt Xbox scrub" idiots that seem to get off on having a couple of exotics and a strike more than people who chose to play on another console. I personally don't care if Xbox gets the same things we do. I played originally on Xbox, switched to PS and was in love with the hawk moon. Did I feel kind of screwed that I didn't get to enjoy it in its glory days in Y1? Yep. Did it sway my decision on whether to get Xbox or PS? Slightly. Did their marketing strategy sell them a few extra consoles? Probably. Personally my girlfriend wanted a ps4 and hated Xbox. Which was the main reason for getting it first. Either way, I'm rambling. I'm tired and it's late. Best of luck to you guys, I do hope you get the exclusive stuff in RoI. Zen meteor is awesome, jade Rabbit blows, sector is...an ok map. Not my favorite but not the worst.

 • Thank you for your tactful, response; it's refreshing to engage in respectful discourse on the internet, regardless of what may be considered opposing views. That being said, I would still like to address the fact that games like CoD (which I don't play) give their exclusives to Xbox for a month or so, which is a far cry from an entire year, which, is an exorbitant amount of time for exclusives, yet most of us didn't get too up-in-arms about it, even though none of us thought it was fair. And now they're quite possibly making it two years, which means that not only are we not getting the exclusives from TTK, but RoI is going to be coming out soon, and PS is getting exclusives for THAT, as well. When you add that up, it turns out to be a significant amount of content we're getting screwed out of for entire two years, all while spending the exact same amount of money out of our pockets as PS players. In any case, I think we've both made our points. Rest well, and thanks again for the respectful discourse.

 • You're right. We cannot empathize with Xbox users at all. Excuse me while I go and fire up Halo on my PS. Maybe after I'll throw tomb raider in for kicks too. Or...maybe I did my research before hand and decided which system offered better exclusives that I would be interested in when I upgraded from my 360. Both consoles have exclusive content. It works both ways. Just curious, why did you choose Xbox over PS?

 • If you can't understand the difference between not being bow to purchase a game because it's on a different console (which I don't agree with, either), and having a game released on multiple consoles, yet not getting the same content as someone on a different console when you pay the same amount of money out of your pocket, then I don't know how else to explain it to you. But there is a very big difference if you can try to think about it objectively. As for why I chose Xbox, I used to be a PS player, but I played a friend's Xbox and liked the controller and setup better. It's all subjective preference, and we shouldn't be punished for it, especially when playing cross-platform games we're both paying the same amount of money for. It's, again, a deplorable business model, and will only continue to get worse as long as we have members of the gaming community going against the best interests of us as a whole when they go out of their way to defend it.

 • By the way, I could've sworn that, before Destiny was even released, I read somewhere that the PS exclusives were only going to he for the first year.
