You'll get it. Just don't charge or rush in. Sit back and play smartly.

Nova Bonbs and a Void Fusion. Good times.

I had to wait for the switch from year 1 to year 2 for the Thorn quest to autocomplete cus I couldn't beat it.
-
I did the thorn quest with nothing but voidwalker abilities and a void two to the morgue.

Try doing the thorn bounty when this was your first pvp game, on a hunter, with only a rare void shotgun. Suffice to say it took me a long long time. Funnily enough by the end of year one I had done the thorn bounty 30+ times.

Chaperone was much worse for me. Going backwards on progress still pisses me off when I think about it. At least for Thorn you could have a couple of crappy games and still (slowly) move forward. The funny part is the rest of the Chaperone quest was a breeze compared with the first part. And let's not get started on pre-buff Imprecation, either...

Edited by mpuchar: 8/30/2016 6:38:48 AMAgreed! Doing the thorn quest with word of crota, swordbreaker, and truth with no void subclass was a nightmare.

Edited by wowchild18: 8/30/2016 6:38:26 AMDamn, at least you had 3 void weapons. When I first got the quest (before dark below), I only had a void shotgun and voidwalker. Sucked so hard at crucible. Spent most games camping around doorways lol

I did thorn quest before VoG hm dropped. No void primaries existed. All I had was a blue machine gun

atheons epilogue dropped from normal mode VoG

If true then..... Damn!!

You're a beast

I gotta disagree. The thorn quest was easier in that it allowed you to choose which weapon you use to complete the bounty as long as it did void damage. The chaperone quest requires last word (which is a good gun, don't get me wrong) which can be pretty challenging to anyone who isn't big on high rate of fire low range hand cannons, or who just isn't great in the crucible. Mostly though I think is was just really frustrating that a single bad round can reset all progress you may have made pretty easily. One step forward and two steps back makes for a really long an frustrating quest

Edited by Prizeplayer: 8/30/2016 1:13:44 AMI agree that they both have their own degree of difficulty. I guess the thorn quest sticks out for me because I did it before I had a void primary or heavy.
