Why are there no taken on the moon?
Serious question. I thought it may have to do with the hive being on the moon but there's not just hive I the moon do why no taken??
Edit: patrols
However this question was answered. It is due to the fact that the hive run the moon, the taken being vessels of the hive god Orxy. He didn't need to infest an area he controls.

They are on the moon but only in storymode which occurs when crota is dead....patrol is (i think) more based on a moon controlled by crotas minions.....and since oryx is crotas father, he doesnt need taken on the moon he has his son's hives

Technically there are taken in the story missions. My best guess for why they're not on patrol is probably because the hive already have a grip on the moon where as the taken where trying to take over the other planets for the hive.

Hive and taken are team, no need for the more powerful troops to just sit there

Oryx also controls the hive, so he wouldn't need to place his own "bodyguard" unit on the moon. Also it's where Crota reigned/ died so maybe he felt as though he would be tainting his son's legacy by putting "tainted" enemies/Hive on his realm
