New sleeper simulant in Rise of Iron?
If you look at the design of the weapon it has a striking resemblance to some of the weapons already revealed by bungie in the rise of iron. The weapon has a advanced design with the wires and cables resembling the cables shown on new SIVA infused weaponry.
The main focus is the description of the weapon which reads,
"Subroutine IKELOS: status=complete.
MIDNIGHT EXIGENT: Status=still in progress."
As we all know the version of the weapon attained from completing the quest is the IKELOS which is listed as complete. The MIDNIGHT EXIGENT version of this weapon alludes to the weapon not being fully complete and the SIVA technology has been used to upgrade weapons already known to us.
This could mean that the MIDNIGHT EXIGENT version will be obtainable during the SIVA outbreak. I have not done any research into it but I looked for a post similar to this one on this app and nothing came up.
I am sure everyone has a million reasons and a whole load of evidence against this but if so comment so you can prove me wrong.

[b]Midnight[/b] [b]Exigent[/b] refers to the destruction/elimination of the Darkness, and any threat to Humanity. Because you received the Sleeper, Ikelos is complete. However, because the Darkness is not yet gone, Midnight Exigent is still in progress

Actually it's just his way of saying things, the last part of the weapon is saying that our war with the darkness is still going, he calls guardians THEM and the darkness IT

I'm fairly sure that there's just a lot more SIVA like weapons that bear resemblance to rasputins weapon the sleeper simulant.

His goal was always the protection of humanity, but none of his weapons did anything against the darkness. Therefore he enacted MIDNIGHT EXIGENT, and went dark, and began looking for new soloutions. When we found him he created a new subroutine called IKELOS. It was based on the subroutine DVALIN FORGE, which he used to arm humanity with fusion rifles during the collapse. IKELOS was a new version of that subroutine that would arm us with better fusion rifles. IKELOS is complete because we are armed with the rifle, and MIDNIGHG EXIGENT is still in progress because his long term survival is still not guaranteed.

2 RepliesIt would be a new twist to things if there are new hidden quests that add further upgrades to existing exotics. Especially with some items that are not that great at the moment There will be players that complain about this though because they don't have the original exotic or it doesn't give them something new

My only reason against this is... Midnight exigent is how rasputin call the darkness. The description simply means that the darkness isnt destroyed yet.

It's possibly something he is working on to make himself the final victor. Something he learnt from the Darkness. IKELOS was created for the purpose of tricking Guardians into defending Rasputin whilst he continued working on Midnight Exigent.
