They don't have anything else than switching servers and traking servers. How did you check your connection? how is it doing other wise? Have you checked with your isp? ( they might be doing maintenance or upgrading something) Have you looked through the network trouble shooting guide and checked the error code weasel?

  • The only game I have had trouble with is Destiny, I am a trained IT tech. I tested my internet repeatedly, no packet loss etc. I run an Open NAT and since posting this it has been running better, squeaky wheel gets the grease , as they say.

  • Btw, as a it tech you should realize how hard it is to compere Destiny to most games out there because Destiny is p2p as other games tend to be dedicated server. But yes, sometimes something just doesn't work and you get kicked off. I am glad that it is be now.

  • Why people, particularly moderators, say that it is our internet and that Bungie is not the issue irks me. I get kicked at least once per day. Sometimes multiple times. I have no problems with my internet. Period. The end. It is on Bungie's end.

  • Well, simply because they don't host games on their end...

  • And if it was their fault everyone would get kicked. And i haven't gotten kicked in 2 year's with out finding a problem on my end. And now i haven't been kicked at all in a year. End of story. Your connection probably is not perfect for Destiny. Are you using wireless? What's your up/down ( I want tested numbers, not what your isp claims) nat type? Package loss? Jitter? Network configuration? And so on. Why is it so hard to admit that there might be something wrong with your connection? And don't say: "but destiny is the only game i have problems with" that just means that you havent optimized for p2p. Your isp might be at fault, because thay might be upgrading something or on maintenence. And again, if it was Bungies fault everybody would be having problems. And no, not everyone is having problems, the ones that are, are just really vocal about it.

  • My connection needs to be "optimized for P2P." Come on! If I have to go messing with the settings of my router, call my ISP, do A, B and C to switch my business-class internet around to not get kicked multiple times a day...IT"S BUNGIE'S ISSUE!!! They chose P2P and it is obviously causing a TON of issues.

  • Well, then ask for dedicated server. But if you want to play destiny now with out of problems, you will have to do it. The earliest that they could sensibly implement dedicated server is Destiny 2 so good luck with that one.
