It's official Trials sucks unless you're elite of elite

First two games faced people with 1500 elo and above and I'm not the best my elo is 1100 but come on Bungie even up the MM just a little bit it's not even competitive it's a slaughter. You try hards want your version of competitive which is fine, have a bracket system. Put teams who've been 9-0 multiple times against other teams that have been 9-0 multiple times all you guys are doing now is shooting fish in a barrow.. I see the get good people are starting to get on. My question is how many times have you paid to be carried? Don't deny it. I also love it win the elite tell players to get good or oh you have the raid.. Well the raids anyone can do so it's not that special, sure for the first month of a new raid it's hard but once you know it it's easy unless you have the weakest fire team, not to mention there is no exotic emblem either for the raids. Last thing is the whole get good is such a tired argument because you know that what we are complaining about is the truth.

  • Only 30 and older will probably get this, that said. The people posting about trials remind me of the guy that bitches you picked Guile before he could. Universal, Last Word - Same guy bitching that all you know how to do is sonic boom and razor/flash kick. People complaining about streamers carrying people - they bitch that the other guy is playing rounds with a friend and they have to play against the asain kid (you know its true) Meta complainer - always bitches about guile / ken / ryu but I'll be dammed if he rolls with Zangief or Honda.

    • The lighthouse isn't even worth it, there's absolutely nothing unique out of the chest you can get then just doing the bounties. I play because I like the dynamic of the game where you actually have to work as a team and the competitiveness of it. Don't get your self worked up over something meaningless, there's really nothing special out of the chest

      • There are a lot less "average" players online as they all olay different games so the chance of u playing somebody with higher elo is significally higher then a little bit lower elo I think

        • Trials isnt eve MLG and the gear/ weapons suck lol! Idk why these elite players are giving the average "GIT GUD" speech. Trials is about lag switchers and pay for play. Its not even worth it to try and go flawless.

          • Should give a buff that increases the exotic engram drop rate in iron banner and regular crucible drop rates until reset. Forces people who went flawless to screw off and play normal crucible in order to take advantage of the sick buff.

          •
I don't think it can be that exclusive but the more people on your team that have gone flawless just the more chance you'll be matched with other people that have gone flawless. If it's to strict you bottle neck the population and lag gets bad and matches repeat. I have an idea here https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/211832752/0/0
Tldr: is trials supposed to be this exclusive and determined by the best of the best getting worse as the population drops? Is this bungies ideal set up? My idea: Going flawless gives you a badge like the triumphs or a different reward pool passage that earns you more rewards for beating other flawless teams which also prioritizes flawless against flawless more to both encourage those rewards and give trials players as the weekends go on less of a chance of matching a nonflawless team. Increasing the number of people going flawless while maintaining the competitiveness and increasing rewards for everyone including a new tier of rewards for the best of the best to chase. Hopefully this increases the trials population from increased chance of rewards to benefit the playlist as a whole and mediate the lag that could be caused by the added influence of the flawless prioritizing with current matchmaking may have. This is prioritizing not guarantee. A tier system that divided would bottleneck the population.
Majority of the player base would probably just see a big increase in package rewards and a small increase in flawless. If it did increase flawless a lot then people playing over and over has a really significant impact on how hard it is to go flawless. Programming could be as simple as program the badge to be given in the chest. Give having it a value as a variable added into the match making. Wins with it count like bounties. One of them being go flawless again ETC for more rewards. But I don't know programming enough to know if matchmaking can take game inventory into account with how the game is designed.
• No ! Just no The score card system is better you okay teams based on wins . If you want to go flawless here is the reality you got to get a try hard to carry you or get better yourself so you can offer more for your team . You never here pvp players asking for easy mode for raids huh ??! Ok then trials is meant for the elites but still can be casual . Oh and little tip run a card with no boons must easier to win games

              • I'm a really good player and i hate how reliant it is on sniping If you can't snipe, it's the worst game mode ever, in destiny sniping is unbelievably easy, but I've never been able to grasp it But based on what I see it's pretty damn easy for everyone else I'm an amazing sniper in so many other games like overwatch as widowmaker and mcree, as I always hit my shots. And in halo, it's like I'm not used to the huge amount of aim assist

              • That defeats the purpose of Trials. It's meant to be the real competitive endgame activity. So yes, you will take on try hards and very great players with their best setups (honestly sometimes cheesy). It's just a matter of getting better and understanding more of how pvp works if that makes sense.

                    • Here's a key of competitive things: not everybody is going to be able to do everything or beat everyone. Stop perpetuating the perception of the participation award generation.

                        • Yes. What challenge is it for teams to go flawless by stomping beginners. A tier system would challenge everyone, but make it fun. This may lessen the cheating and paying for a trip to the lighthouse.

                        • End game content should be hard, but with some practice completing it should be attainable by most serious players. The problem that I have with trials is that the lighthouse is not attainable by most, even serious pvp players. I do not know if it is the matchmaking, like many say it is (it probably is) or if the pool of players is so low that matchmaking does not have a choice, whatever the reason I do believe that trials is broken to a point.

                          • I do believe that people who have been flawless that week should be put in a separate bracket for the rest of the week(per character). It kills the fun when people do carries for 12 hours a day and are knocking out people who are trying to do it themselves

Welcome to endgame, "competitive" PvP in literally any game. Though I think it could use an improvement, like sending people that have gone Flawless at least once during the week already on said character into their own bracket with others that have gone Flawless as well. They could have it stack up to three times even for all I care; they just need to do something that knocks carrying out of the equation and tones down the overall competitiveness for those trying to go Flawless for the first time. Matching people based on their current card progress was a good idea, but it wasn't enough in the long run.

                            • I went flawless on the first day Trials came out and have gone 30 time or so. I took a few months off and went on a trials run and could barely get a kill. Was I bothered? Nope. I recognize that I was out of practice and no longer the crucible enthusiast I once was. Trials is for Crucible enthusiasts. Not casuals, not "PVE players", Enthusiasts. You don't need to be "elite" to go flawless; but if your crucible experience is a half hour of Iron Banner every few months then Trials is not a game mode that caters toward you.
