Wrong if you have the original you can dismantle it to begin the quest for the new exotic. Or and pay attention this the important bit. You can find the item that will drop randomly whilst playing rise of iron to begin the quest. Maybe next time do a little research before mouthing off on a forum. This only makes you look like a jerk. Expect a lot of replies slating you for this.

You don't have to own the original one, I'm assuming you were never told to not believe everything on the internet.
