So as an active destiny player I have been one to come up with subclass ideas on my own. I thought I should share one of my ideas with the community and see what you guys think. I'm looking for constructive criticism and ideas to further detail this subclass concept and to get inspiration for others. So without further ado I present to you the Summoner:
Summoner:
A warlock void based subclass that allows you to summon allies to fight with you.
Super:
You summon creatures of pure light to fight for you on the battle field.
-The things you summon are basically shaped like regular enemies like thrall or vandals, but be colored pure white and glowing to signify they are made of pure light and have a purple myst about them to signify the void subclass.
Side Note: This subclass has one extra column next to the final subclass ability tree. This column has three options that allow you to choose the amount of minions you will summon and their power level. The first option is Small this option will allow you to summon 10 random small sized minions such as, Thrall, Psions, and Dregs. These guys should have around 100 PvP level health each. The damage these guys would deal per shot would be about as much as a medium RoF auto, but they would be inaccurate, and thrall should be able to kill in 3 to 4 melees. The second option is Medium this option will allow you to summon 5 random medium sized minions such as, Legionaries, Acolytes, Vandals, and Hobgoblins (last two will always use a sniper). These guys should have around 150 PvP health each. Their damage should be in between a focus fire suros regime and a regular firing one, but they would be slightly inaccurate, also the snipers would kill in 3 shots. The third option will be Large this option will allow you to summon 2 random large sized minions such as an Ogre or a Colossus. These guys will have around 220 PvP health each and they would deal a little more damage than the highest RoF auto to compensate for their rate of fire.
•Super Upgrades
-Numbers: You gain more minions upon super cast. (5 more small, 3 more medium, and 1 more large.)
-Strength: Your summons gain more health and damage.
-Strategy: Your summons are smarter. They stick together and near you and your allies. They also dodge and use cover.
•Melee Ability: Life Manipulation, when you melee you steal health from the enemy and you regain it instantly, but when you melee a summon it heals it.
-Healer: You heal summons more, but damage enemies less.
-Battler: You damage enemies more, but heal summons less.
-Backup: You gain an additional melee charge.
•Grenades
-Black Whole: Your grenade draws in enemies for about a second and a half, then damages them for about 100 PvP damage. The range of the drawing in is a bit larger than a ward of dawn.
-Crowd Controller: This grenade is like a Vortex grenade, but is has about 1.5x the length and size, but has less damage to compensate.
-Magnetic Grenade: Same as defender.
•Other Subclass Perks: The first three will be in one column and the last three will be in the other.
1.Medic: Your grenades heal summons
2.Sacrifice: Your summons have a chance to spawn orbs when they die
3.Back from the Dead: Enemies you killed 30 seconds prior to activating your super will come back as summons. (PvP enemies count as medium size)
4.Providers: If a summon gets a kill it will give you super energy
5.Healthy Mix: Instead of choosing the size of all your summons you will have 1 large, 2 medium, and 4 small.
6.Hi Ho Ogre!: You can ride and control large summons.
If you read all the way to the end thank you and I hope you enjoyed! As I said before please leave constructive feedback in order for me to improve this subclass concept and more to come.

1 ReplyThis would get nerfed into the ground as soon as it was realsed

1 ReplyThis is not world of Warcraft. This is a first person shooter with super awesome space soul draining warlocks and shit. What would be cool however is if there was a healing mechanic in the game other than the recovery stat. Sort of a life swap. Sacrifice 7/8 of your health to fully shield an ally. Possibly a new idea for a warlock subclass super ability. Sounds pretty sweet to me.

4 RepliesSounds really fun, just a bit on the OP side. I would definitely play that type of subclass, I've always enjoyed summon or pet classes.
