If you want Hand Cannons nerfed...

You need to take a step back & examine your own abilities. The reason why you see people killing successfully with a hand cannon is because with a hand cannon you have to be accurate as opposed to people who have shit aim spamming/pre-firing mida or an autorifle to make up for their lack of discipline. If hand cannons are nerfed because of people who aren't trying to look at how they could be improving their own combat skills, then what you will see is the player who was using their hand cannon accurately will then pick up an autorifle, a scout rifle or maybe a goddamn rock... And they will kill you with it just as effectively. {Edit} I may be overreacting and stuff. It's the post nerf stress disorder kicking in. [spoiler] I'm an average pvper who used to suck. Instead of crying for nerfs, I recorded a few of my bad games & examined who I could improved, then I acted on that. I focused on MY weaknesses.. Not my opponents strengths [/spoiler]

  • I came back after a year to find they f....d with my hawkmoons range I would like it to back to it's glory it's still a quick killer at close to mid range but the drop off is a shadow of itself at long range now. That's what made it special as the mini sniper

  • If hand cannons get nerfed I will probably stop playing tbh u had to teach myself how to use one it took me a while now I'm good with anything from hawkmoon to first curse but I would hate the game without them now Coz they are so much fun to use

    The only Handcannon I have an issue with now is The Last Word. Fanfare, which makes it Full Auto AND [b]increases its Rate of Fire[/b] puts it into a time to kill that's competitive outside of its intended range of use. Bungie should give back some bonus damage when hipfiring, and make Fanfare only work WHEN hipfiring.

    • The last word seems to have an effective range that's a little too extreme in my opinion now. I think that needs to be dialed back a little. All the other canons seem to be in a relatively ok place. Just my opinion.

      • Yes, nerf the only gun class that has t deal with phantom bullets. Lol Hc have such an awkward range, and I use them all the time. Worth guns like the first curse or Judith d, you have this Wierd range where there too slow for close range shotgun rushers, but don't shoot far enough to challenge scouts or pulse rifles. So that basically leaves other hc or slow to medium rof auto rifles.( Because high ones can seriously f up your aim) With all that said, if you want to do good with a hc you [u]have[/u] to pace your shots, learn how to strafe, use cover/environment, jump shooting, never underestimate range and have fun.

              I haven't seen any people complaining about hand cannons. Well, except for last word, but that is more of an lmg.

            • Bloom needs to go. Drop off damage can stay. But remove the viewkick caused when being shot by a handcannon. That's the only nerf it needs.

              • TLW needs no stability perk at all on it. Other than that, leave Hand Cannons the hell alone. Buff Autos Tweak Pulse Rifles (that means balance them, not nerf everything)

                • When you have a weapon that can kill in 3 shots and can fire faster than an Auto rifle, there's a problem. Auto rifles are virtually useless in this meta and its because Bungie doesn't understand how to weapon balance. All they do is nerf this and nerf that to keep this pathetic community from bitching about anything and everything but all they're doing is changing the meta after every update, hot fix or DLC drop. There shouldn't be 5 weapons that rule PvP. You should be able to roll in with the first gun you get and have the same chances of killing a player as one using the Hawksaw or Grimlock or the Scout Rifles and handcannons that are in the meta. They basically force players to use these specific weapons if they want to excel in crucible. Only one kind of auto rifle is viable right now which is pathetic.

                    accurate? the ones winning out with hand cannons are just spamming the trigger but they do not need a nerf. except for tlw, it needs to get nerfed when ads

                  • Wrong. I've been playing crucible and I will tell you exactly what needs to be nerfed. Snipers, hand cannons, rocket launchers and most of all titan shoulder charge.

                    • Takes awhile to get used to using Hand Cannons but I absolutely love them. Especially if you place your shots well you can switch weapons and be much more accurate with your shots. Currently my favorite hand cannons are the Lord High Fixer and Imago Loop.

                      • Who the hell is asking for Hand Cannon nerfs? If anything, they need a bit of help. While we're at it, slow RoF Autos and Pulses still need major help as well.

                        • So if you give a top tier player a hand canon, auto, scout, and pulse of their choice they typically will pick a hand canon. Why? Because it out performs the other weapon classes in most combat situations. They are already the dominant weapon in most situations, they don't need a buff. If you get rid of ghost bullets and increase range then there will literally be no trade offs for using them. Every other class of weapon has trade offs, so should hand canons. Again, this is all in the context of a skilled player. If we want to talk about weapons that need buffing let's take a look at autos, specifically low ROF ones.

                        • HC was nerf since TTK comes out....But I just found way to adjust it and accept it what I have. .I am using HC in trials with high calibur rounds that me to stagger sniper enemies players.

                        • They need to find a way with buffing hand cannons but not buffing exotic hand cannons. TLW was in a good spot at the beginning of TTK. HCs got a blanket accuracy buff and now it's back to being a crutch weapon
