Visual affect for being on a killstreak?
This would be cool, like your head ignites in white flame or etc, I find it a bit disappointing when I go on a 20 kill streak with 2 phantoms and it means squat. People should see you and be like "prioritize on that guy, he's on a kill streak"
Here's my idea-
-White flame-5 kill streak
-Yellow flame-10 kill streak
-Blue flame-15 kill streak
-Red Flame-20 kill streak
-Purple Flame-25 kill streak (In history purple was only to be worn by Royals or those of Royal blood so it has significant meaning to the kill streak)
What do you think?

Doesn't over watch have something like that? Honestly the idea is alright as it would paint a target on your head and make more of a challenge but there's more important things bungie needs to do first

Neat? Yes. Effective? Only to stand out more and make yourself a target. One way to get phantom is to not be seen. If I see some guardian on fire and I didn't cause it I will make sure to ruin your kill streak. And it's really to help you this way you don't have to panic about losing it. And is it really needed along with everything else in this game? Not really. But good thinking outside the box.

Why would you want developers to waste time on an effect that very few players would see anyways and promote even more people hiding in the back of maps picking people off with snipers. You already get medals for your accomplishment and typically text on the screen saying you are on the streak. Do you need yet another pat on the back???

As cool as it sounds it would make the player more of a target, i.e. that guy is on fire let's all go for him. It'd be alright if it's an option, they should also bring back the blue flame from nightfalls with xp boost.

If this was an option it shouldn't be able to be turned off. But I don't like it because I don't want the whole map to come after me jealous of my kills. I prefer being sneaky. Though I wish there was a game type like the Halo game regicide where this would be perfect.

4 RepliesActually I prefer how it is now where it shows up only in the killfeed. I especially like the message it shows for a 25 streak, "Someone should probably do something about (player name)."

Meanwhile you aren't really rewarded much for a killstreak, it should never punish you for it. That's my opinion on the matter anyways. Also, is that why pimps wear purple?
