I would recommend reading every bit of grimoire you can find on or about exo's. But it's from my understanding that most posses a formerly human mind or at least a very accurate simulation of one. So if it's the first one then it's possible memories and desires from being a human may still persist. Although without a lot of the chemicals that our bodies produce to encourage the act of reproduction, most intimate gestures between exo's probably aren't as "squishy" and probably take a more pure form of affection. But this is all just speculation.
