Dredgen Yor's class
I'm interested to see what people say about this one because it hasn't been very clear as to what class he was.
Thanks for all of these amazing comments on this post you've all helped me remember a lot about dredgen yor. Keep up them comments :).

2 RepliesDredgen Yor was a hunter. The handcannon is a trademark to Hunters, but besides that, Dredgen has a hunter cloak with his name on it, and his Artifact "The Rose" is a Hunter Artifact. It's the same as the fact that Thalor has a titan mark with his name on it, and Pahanin has a hunter artifact associated with his name. Those are very class specific. People are saying he's a Warlock because of the picture of one wielding it in the grimoire, but if you look closer, you'll see that the card references the Thorn handcannon and not it's wielder, and also in that picture, the gun is 'targeted' (highlighted) and pushed front and center.

A lot of people say their reasoning for Yor being a Hunter are the items. For me it's the fact that Thorn is a hand cannon. Hand cannons are the Hunters trademark weapon. Cayde and the Ace of Spades Shin Malphur/Jaren Ward and the Last Word Dredgen Yor and the Thorn

I'm pretty sure it said he was a Hunter somewhere. However Yor only assumed that name after being tainted by the Dark, at which point class distinctions kind of fail as he lost touch with the Light.

with all the items and class specific drops id say hunter. But without a definitive piece of proof i can see him as a warlock they tend to fall into darkness quite a lot.

17 RepliesIt kinda depends on how you look at it. Dregen Yor was most likely a Hunter, but Rezyl Azzir (who is strongly hinted to be Yor before he was Yor) was a Titan. Its a matter of perspective.

He was pretty devastating in the crucible but also died many times this is pretty indicative of warlocks He also stomped on Ikora which easily said not many hunters could do

8 RepliesIf you're going off of what we know now, he was a Hunter. There is a cloak of Dredgen Yor and the Last Word story is a tale of two Hunters and their Cannons. I started thinking about this more and more, though. Dredgen was someone that brought hope, a true hero. That kind of description means we have heard his name, and the redacting of class is interesting. That means you're looking at a fairly small pool. The name also needs to come from a name around Six Fronts.
