Bungie is not pushing anything. They are making a business move to improve their product at the cost of a small percentage of their base. It is each person's choice to upgrade or continue to play in the current environment. Bungie and Activision has put together a discount package for those that are upgrading. I did not have that discount when I upgraded last year, which I did not complain about. Also pricing is really a function of Activision on Bungie.

  • They don't have to tho, it's not like they haven't given us our other DLC. They had to purposely choose to make Taken King a package you have to buy again. Oh and it's funny you can't keep current with the game without it. Also if you decided to buy good for you man, but this isn't about you. It's about the people that can't buy just yet or don't want to be pushed around by the games they used to back up.

  • Sure they could give it away but that is not good business, Activision is a public company and has to answer to share holders. Yes it sucks if someone cannot afford to upgrade but it does cost money to create such a large DLC. Updates and special events can be funded by the Eververse but true DLC's cost much more and need to have customer support to carry on. This is about me and you and everyone else. We all are impacted by the cost of playing this game. We all have to make the decision if the set cost is worth it. If someone does not make them wrong, just as if I think the cost is reasonable does not make me wrong.

  • If good buissness is taking advantage of your consumer base is "Good Buissness" people have a more twisted morals than I originally thought. If you can't see that making 2/3 DLC free and the last one that released only a few months before is wrong then maybe you came by the wrong post bud.

  • There was no free DLC, Dark Below, House of Wolves and Taken King we all paid for. The April update was free as were all of the limited events, but they were small additions that were done by the Live Team and the cost were covered by Eververse. Bungie stated this up front and were clear about that. No one is being taken advantage of at all. A product has been made and the consumer is being charged for it. Yes some will have to pay more for the that product to move console generations but that again is fair due to another license in being purchased. My nephew can still play Destiny on my 360 while I play on my XBone so paying the $10 for the new license is fine. If this is a moral issue to you then you have a moral issue on how the American economic system is set up. There you might have a point but for this product there is no deviation from that system other than Activision is giving a discount on their product that they did not have to. If you do not like it then do not buy it.

  • Makin 2 of 3 free was a favor. As far a business decisions go, I bet you are going to buy it even though you are here complaining about it. Seems like it was a pretty solid business plan if you ask me.
