The Summoning Pits has been reworked with the new name of The Abomination Heist.
We're being sent back to the summoning pits to kill a reborn phogoth. We're going to fail and the splicers are going to come and take him and make him into their own weapon. I mean, the strike is even called the abomination heist. Someone is stealing something that doesn't belong to them.

1 ReplyDoubt it. We melted that mofo in Y1. Seriously, he disintegrated when we killed him, I don't know how you can come back from that.
-
Dude why don't you just PhoG oth xD
lol sorry
-
4 RepliesSomeone phogoth to do research
-
MoreConsole has a full recording of him playing the strike at GamesCon in Germany, I think
-
The way I see it: Summoning Pits sends you to stop the Hive from giving Phogoth a proper "Summoning" (thus fully unlocking his power and making him much more deadly). Abomination Heist is the same strike, but the Hive have succeeded and Phogoth is probably on the scale of Golgoroth in power level now.
-
It's the wretched eye
-
1 Reply*sigh* The Eyeless Ogre is in a new strike called the Wretched Eye. It is in no way related to the Summoning Pits.
The luckiest seven you will ever meet
-
3 RepliesI don't think people get what you're saying... lol. You're saying that now the two strikes.might be tied together, right? So... in new version of Phogoth, whatever plays out, at the end, instead of killing him, the Splicers will come steal him. Phogoth comes first, wretched eye comes later, a story from strikes. I agree, makes sense, and would be kinda cool.

7 RepliesSomebody phogoth to put their contacts in
-
Actually that's not the case. The eyeless ogre is the wretched eye strike while abomination heist is simply a revamped phogoth
-
Fair point.
-
I think it's been too long since you last did the Summoning Pits strike.
-
Nah, Phogoth has obvious nuances to his appearance that the Ogre in the new strike clearly doesn't have.
-
3 RepliesThe ogre doesn't have an eye because a captain stole and put it into his weapon so it shoots ogre beams and you have to fight the ogre and captain at the same time
-
The eyeless ogre is part of the new strike but they're bringing back summoning pits also. They're different
-
Phogoth is bigger. But I could be wrong.
-
3 RepliesWell the revamped Phogoth strike is called "The Abomination Heist" so you may be on to something.
-
Edited by Mr.Spartan126: 8/18/2016 2:32:10 PMNo, the eyeless ogre and the revamped summoning pits ogre are different. At least that's how it looks currently to me. Would be interesting if I was wrong. Also, the eyeless ogre looks a bit smaller than phogoth, at least from my perspective. That might change when I see it in-game.
-
-
Except the eyeless ogre isn't in the Abomination Heist strike. It's in the Wretched Eye strike.
-
1 ReplyI thought it was "The Wretched Eye".
-
Nope already the other strike is called "Wretched eye" or whatever Plus other ogre is too small
-
1 ReplyNope. Thanks to Gamescom, Bungie has let people stream the Wretched Eyed Strike and thar eyeless ogre is not phogoth.
-
2 RepliesToo tanned to be Phogoth.
-
2 RepliesThere's gameplay of the new strike out there, and it's not phogoth. It's smaller and doesn't have the weird chest thing
