Edit: If you don't play "sweats" or don't plan on playing "sweats" this thread isn't for you and alot of these rules won't change because they've been in place for a while now.
Edit: THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS IN COMPETITVE GAMING I don't think alot of you understand that!
Edit: If you're questioning why rules are in place for competitive play, I have no idea whats wrong with you
(Note: I know I'm some random guy that you've never heard of but please give this a read, I'm no professional but I love competitive gaming and have had a past in Halo & COD and I believe rules for scrims and stuff should be clear from now on so you won't have to rage at someone for using stuff which you think is illegal)

With the upcoming release of private matches there is bound to be a flood of new players attracted to the competitive scene in Destiny and as of right now I believe it is hard to find what rules are actually used and what's banned and what isn't. Because of this I'm going to make suggestions which I think will work well COMPETITIVELY in Destiny.
With the customisation of settings I believe that we can now build game rules that will work great competitively. (These new game settings aren't in depth because from the looks of it you can only do so much in private matches)
Currently the setting are:
Classic 3v3 (no rotation of game modes, includes Salvage & Skirmish but the objective is never captured in Salvage)
No Exotic Armour
No Subclass Duplicates [Striker, Striker, Stormcaller [X] ] [Striker, Voidwalker, Stormcaller [O] ]
Banned Weapons/Perks
No Land Beyond
Vex Mythoclast
Grasp of Malok
Invective
Ice Breaker
Queenbreakers Bow
Universal Remote
Luck in the Chamber
Crowd Control
Reactive Reload
With the freedom we've been given I personally believe that we can make the scene more competitive with slightly different rules! (just hear me out please)

AFTER UPDATE:
NO EXOTIC ARMOUR (extra perks that you don't need and mainly only wanted for personal preference/play style, this is supposed to be competitive not public games)
Game Modes:
Inferno
No Radar (people rely on this way to much, many competitive games don't use radar and the maps on destiny are small enough to not need them! Get better at communication and you won't need one)
+100 per kill | +0 per revive | +100 per super (the reward for a revive should be that you're in a more convenient position, you should not be awarded points for dying and getting revivied)
Less Special Ammo [e.g 8:00 - 5:00 - 3:00] (No special ammo off spawn promoting map control, the more dominant experienced team will focus on timing and positioning not relying on secondary ammo! you should be an all round player not just a shotgunner or a sniper)
Game Mode Rotation
Inferno Skirmish
Inferno Elimination
Inferno Skirmish
Maybe Supremacy but I highly doubt any competitive player will like this game mode in the game mode rotation.
(IMO the other game modes have no competitive value, down to odd scoring systems)
Map Rotation (Looking at the maps symmetrically, spawn points and all things like that into consideration because some maps are awful for spawns)
Skirmish
Twilight Gap
The Cauldron
Rusted Lands
The Anomaly
Shores of Time
Firebase Delphi

Elimination
Pantheon
The Cauldron
Twilight Gap
Shores of Time
Please look at these rules with an open mind, competitive gaming isn't for everyone but I think these setting will definitely give you the competitive game you've been looking for.
Comment any suggestions please and put the reasons why you think they'll be viable for competitive play below!

All you so called "sweats" are the same. Just ban everything you don't like. This list is entirely BS.
-
1 Replyone thing i never understood about sweaties is that, why should hunters be allowed use shadestep but if titan cant use twilight garrison???
-
Are these actual Gamebattle rules or no?
-
Why is grasp banned? Also would be cool if destiny got a ban and protect system for subclasses and exotics
-
5 RepliesYeah i think everyone could decide for themself if they want to use any rules in their private Matches. Thank you for making your idea of rules Public. But do not in any way think people will or must use them, even in competitive game sessions. Thank you :)

5 RepliesEdited by RavenousLD3341: 8/17/2016 8:04:34 PMWow.... This is already looking like those scrubby badmins from Battlefield Badmin said
No shotty, no stinger, no igla, no homing missiles, no PLD/missile combo, no winning, no killing admin, no using rockets on infantry, no tanks, no sniper rifles, no burst fire AN-94, no levelution on Seige of Shanghai (Because i like camping the elevator). Will ban, not scared.
Destiny version
No exotics, no supers, no wombo combo, no killing or T-bagging admin.
If you are scared of parts of the game, play something else Wanna actually make this competetive. Reduce TTK of all primary weapons from 700-1200ms to 350-600ms. Then.... it'll be fun

Good to know Cheers 🍻 ~TheGreatNike

2 RepliesDoes this mean I can use my queen breakers bow? Cause I have been told not to use it for sweats >_> same with sidearms for whatever reason
-
Why no grasp of malok, vex or the other ones?
-
You got me salty at not being able to use NLB......
This is so aids, 1v1 scrub dog Rusted lands
-
1 ReplyUGH. I pray to god these kind of threads won't spread everywhere like LFG did. 🙄🔫
-
The "rules" are dated though in my opinion, I mean who would use vex now. Thorn and last word were considered broken, why weren't they banned? Can understand uni and nlb. Grasp isn't OP either. One of each subclass I agree with. Litc and reactive reload too. I would see some exotic armour in there though such as twilight garrison and bones, being evasive isn't exactly unfair it allows for more skilful plays. But I guess different comps will have different rules and that's all fine, it's up to people whether they want to enter or not
-
4 RepliesI dont play sweats because im not good enough basically but I dont know where you got these rules from. There are a few universally accepted ones that everyone is aware of like not grabbing heavy, but never heard of not allowing certain perks. Who came up with these rules and where is it written so that everyone knows them cos it seems like a pretty specific list.
-
4 RepliesWait, wha? Exclaims that we have been given more freedom but tries to justify adding restrictions and limitations to matches?! Ummmm, ok? Have fun with that, hombre.
-
1 ReplySee, I'd rather have fun than pretend like I'm good at the game.
-
4 RepliesWhy not just play with no exotic weapons as well?
-
I think to be truly competitive, ALL exotic gear should be banned. No armour, no weapons. Although, in the current ruling, I'm confused as to why NLB is banned.
-
Like i said i would happily play a match with ya but you'd find out quick your arms are just too short to box with GOD.
-
31 RepliesWhy dont you have 3 335 scrub?
-
33 RepliesEdited by Fridén: 8/17/2016 4:55:57 PMThe perks and exotics of Destiny are what give it it's uniqueness. Why would you want to water the game down to something it isn't? What exotic armor piece is so broken that you want all of them out of competitive play? If everyone has access to them, does that not make it balanced? Thorn, TLW, shot package shotguns were absolutely more broken in year1 than any other exotic armor piece in the game to date, yet those were all that was used in sweats back then. I just don't get it. A lot of subclass builds are based around exotics. Removing them makes the perks and subclasses chosen the same, which makes the gameplay even more repetitive.
-
2 RepliesHeres a tip. If you have "No exotics" don't list Exotics under the banned weapons, it makes the rules list look sloppy and confusing.
-
3 RepliesA lot of people are wondering why the grasp is banned, but I'm confused on why the Vex is up there. Lol, it isn't even that good anymore
-
10 Replies*yawn* The most boring, pointless format of the game; Sweaty competitive games. I can't think of anything worse.
-
7 RepliesY is grasp banned lol

26 RepliesEdited by SackOVengeance: 8/17/2016 4:52:58 PMI honestly think you guys should just scratch these rules and let the professional league organizers create their own sort of balance. I can imagine that each league(if multiples) will be different from one another. I think you kids did great making sweats or w/e to appease the competitive community in this game, but now it's time for actual professionals to kick in. But who knows...... I'm sure the majority of the competitive kids left this game a while ago.... We will see if destiny will be able to pick up enough steam to make the competitive scene large enough to maintain multiple leagues.
I'm just but hurt over NLB, I don't use the fire rate glitch and refuse to use any other primary since they are all boring!
My heart breaks for these kids who replied.
