Supposedly when people first started finding these, whoever it was that put them in game promised a super sweet reward for whoever could find them all. Screen shots or video would be required of course. Only one I ever knew about was the one in the tree next to the gunsmith in the tower.

Yeah, someone had claimed it that day i believe.. it was for the 7 hidden tower coins, the hoj coins were just an easter egg.

There was an emblem awarded to the first person to find all of them. Can't remember if anyone ever claimed it.

Those weren't HoJ coins, but yeah, I think it's the same idea other than the lack of reward.
