Because separating a guardian and ghost is a good plan.

I'm talking short distances, like throw distance. Like the less than the distance where a fall means death.

Point is, you will endanger your ghost. And if a guardian lose there ghost, they lose there ability to be revived and will die.

Do you recall every single y1 mission, where you left your ghost at a terminal and defended it from whorde mode? You've never wondered about how the ghost get up to the ship? If it can stop rockets and sniper bullets in the crucible, it can stand a little toss.
