Makes no difference to me either way. Generally speaking, by the point in the DLC (for your case, the raid) that people would be getting the elemental primaries, all over PvE endgame [i]should[/i] be easy already. I don't believe the weapons ever had anything to do with it. It's the light level gap. Once you are the appropriate LL for an activity, it becomes that much easier, regardless of the loadout you're using.
