Let's do a social experiment..

Step One: Take the survey and pick your favorite Class, whatever your reason, just pick it. Step Two: Post down below the Class you picked and the reasons it's your favorite. Easiest to use? Lore around them? Looks? Cookies? Step Three: Tell us what you hate the most about the Class you picked. Try to pick something that doesn't make your Class look weak. For example; I pick a Warlock but I hate Stormcallers and think they are cheap. Bonus Step: If you feel up to it and aren't afraid of upsetting other Classes, state what you like most and least about the other two Classes. My goal is to see if people will be honest with themselves and hopefully bring out some good and healthy debates. This isn't bait or anything like that. Shooting for something different compared to most posts I see on the forums. Edit 1: Wow 80+ comments!! You guys are awesome!! No salt or toxic either. I have hope again for the community. Edit 2: Just about 150 comments! Exciting to me consider this is my first post to get any notice =P Looks like Titans and Hunters are pretty popular and warlocks slightly behind. Overall all about the same though. Enjoying all the comments and stories on why you picked your class and your pros/cons. Keep them coming! Everyone has got their own reasons and people seem to really enjoy the topic!

  • Titan. Played halo a ton before destiny and also like the whole literally everything by throwing yourself at the enemy. Looks too. Love most of the armor. What I hate is the sheer predictability of titans as a whole. You go against someone who knows generally how a titan plays and it's game over. Also hate how strikers are stereotyped as "shoulder charge". Sure it's there but I don't use it.

  • Hunters: Like; Gunslingers in vanilla, Bladedancers in TDB and Nightstalkers now. Hunters have always had a PvE niche they did well. Dislike; PvP never seems quite as easy for me on Hunters. Not that they can't look OP in the right hands... Warlocks: Like; LOVE tickle fingers!! Dislike; hitting ceilings w Nova Bombs. :/ Titans: Like; Skating!! Jumps in general. Dislike; Raid armor tends to be U. G. L. Y.

  • I picked the warlock because I like the idea of being powerful yet supportive and I like the robes however I think the sunsinger is a bit off of what it should be and wish it was totally re worked from the ground up

  • I didn't pick up a copy of Destiny till late TDB and hadn't really looked into it so I was coming in blind. My first impression was that this would be something akin to D&D meets Halo when I saw the class selection screen. They matched up somewhat similarly from the names.
Titan: Soldier, Knight, Paladin, etc Warlock: Mage, (spoony)Bard, etc Hunter: Rogue, Thief, Assassin and so on and so forth.
I had assumed that the Hunter was the more fast-paced and agile class so I decided to go with him. Naturally, I was awestruck and in love when I had just first started out playing, despite dying for an hour straight by those Hive Acolytes and Knights with ??? as their HP bar. White Weapons and gear be damned. What I absolutely loved about my Gunslinger above all else was his throwing knife melee. That wonderful moment of precision and timing matching up with your enemy's head was what really sealed the deal. I never really used anything else besides combustion grenades since they were great for bouncing off walls and finding their ways around corners. Up until now, I have not had anything much to complain about other than their ability to counter the two newer roaming supers, especially seeing how improbable it is to turn around and run the other way from a Stormcaller. Aside from that, the recent Gunslinger nerf has left me particularly salty, but I have my hopes that Bungie will eventually start rebuffing things that really did not deserve nerfs.
Mind you, I barely play Nightstalker so this is the perspective of a die-hard Gunslinger aficionado.
In regards to the game now, I rarely play in Crucible matches that are non sweaty. The majority of games are filled with nothing but your typical meta-ish tiered weapons that anybody could pick out from the Weapons Grimoire list, minus the snipers and Doctrine. It's been ages since I've seen anyone use any of the raid primary weapons or less well known faction weapons.
Gotta give the Appellant and Red Hand some love too.
• Step One: Warlock Step Two: I love the Nova Bomb. The first time I unloaded that thing I scared my cat off the couch with my shout of joy. Step Three: What I hate most? Warlocks feel slow. While I use Glide all the time I can't help but feel that we seem to have rocks in our various pockets. Yes, I know I could always use Blink, but I can never aim it right. Bonus: Titans - Striker is great for wrecking everything and Defender is (when done right) an absolute tank...but Sunbreakers? I don't really like their grenades or super. Hunters - great overall perks, love the jumps, Bladedancers can turn "invisible" which has no end of fun...but god damn you Nighstalkers with your evade and your smoke & grenade combo lol. I'm not really mad about it, but you have to admit it's annoying as hell.

Hunter, first i used in beta and just loved the feel, love the jump too. Don't like the low recovery tho which leads me to what I like about wlocks and that would be recovery and Melee. Not a fan of the jump in certain situations. Lastly I would like to say I used to main a Titan, I liked the brutal feel to it but I really wasn't a fan of the jump and grenade options (love lightening nades but don't like to run striker very often) Edit: forgot to say my favorite thing about hunters
cloaks
• Hunters because i love the agility and the look. Frontstab really annoys me sometimes and i feel sorry if it kicks in on hits it shouldnt. Eg i frontstabbed a titan out of foh the other day. Twice. As a result i no longer use backstap. Fast twitch ftw. Wombo combo feels cheap aswell. So when i play nightstlaker (a lot lately) i use snare and spike/vortex map depending. (because there is no point using spike on rusted lands) i try to bait them into snare which blinds them and stick a grenade behind them. Once you get used to it its quite effective. Rambling aside my view on other classes. Titans feel very heavy to me (but im getting used to it) i like the subclasses tho. Defender is cool but hard to use effectively I started my warlock recently but im liking nova bomb so far but the jump is annoying atm. Need to time to get used to it.

Hunter. I love the way they look (e.g. helmets and hoods) and I've always enjoyed a rouge and stealth types. I've also always been fascinated with old west gun fighter types. Hunters fit both of these themes well. And shadestep in PvP has helped me escape so many disadvantaged gun fights. It is definitely my favorite PvP class due to the evasiveness and speed. The thing I hate most about them is their gauntlets. I don't know why Bungie insists on styling their gear with one arm having something ridiculous protruding out from the shoulder or elbow and the other arm look more sleek. It's like they despise symmetry at Bungie. The Titan is a close second. I love that they are both tanks and with the Titan skate, the fastest class in the game (super hilarious). I also love the support that a Defender w/ Helm of Saint-14 brings to the table. My least favorite thing is that certain weapons don't fit well with the class or their lore. Like a Titan running around with TLW in the crucible or whatever... seems silly to me. I just feel that Titans or sort of meant to be auto rifle and Shotgun wielding characters. Warlocks are great too but definitely my least favorite of the three. Their melee range and grenade arsenal is amazing! Their jump is the worst though and drives me nuts. That is my least favorite thing about them.

                • 1. Titan. Its a god. Between fist of havoc, throwing flaming hammer and always being wanted in a raid team becasue of the buble, its easily my favourite class. I love the jump, love running and gunning and just its overall playstyle. Things i dont like about titan is tge striker melee. Although it does serious damage, pretty much a body shot with a high impact sniper, they also have shouldercharge which is kinda op. I played striker since i got my titan as i thought that sunbreaker was op as when it cane out, but know i have moved back to sunbreaker and am loving that. Other classes: Hunter. My first character, i loved this in year one. Seeing the subclasses made me make a titan, but i will always love my hunter. Its berstility is great, gunslinger is great and tether is a fantastic super in both pvp and pve. I dont like backstab in bladedancer and think that should be fixed. Warlock. Never been a fan. Didnt enjoy the subclasses, stormcaller is bull, and the flameshield on sunsinger is too op. The jump was the last straw. I cant use it at all. Thanks for making this post and i had a lot of fun creating this reply. Luku9000

                  • Picked warlock because they were supposed to be "magical". I assumed spells. I love the way they look. Self res in yr 1 nightfalls saved our group a bunch. Stormcaller rocks!! The jumps suck. Hunters were capes from party city, and Titans wear a sashes for crying out loud.

                    • Warlock is my favorite, mostly because I've had mine since I first got Destiny and only last week started with another character (a Titan). I think the jump could be a bit better, although that may simply just be due to my selection of jump perks. Glide is usually just a linear continuation of whatever direction you were going, and you can't get any lift unless you glide very shortly after jumping. Also, as far as I currently know Warlocks have no perk or exotic armor piece that allows them to evade like Titans and Hunters. Also, we still don't have any exotic boots after nearly two years. After having played as a Titan (and as a Hunter on my brother's account), I think that their jumps seem to generally be better than the Warlock jumps. Also, titan-skating is probably my main mode of transportation when I'm without a sparrow. It's way better than gliding as a Warlock at the top of your jump. Also, shoulder charge with Peregrine Greaves is insanely powerful. I haven't played Crucible with my Titan yet, but considering how I can take down the shields of some high-level enemies with it, and the fact that I've been butchered with it before, I imagine it would be horrible and I'd just decide not to use it simply in order to spite it.

                      • Picked Warlock as a Hunter Main throughout Year 1 and up until the April Update. I like the Voidwalker changes that allow a Max Discipline Build to get a grenade back for every grenade kill they get. I dislike how average Sunsinger is and I don't touch Stormcaller becauee I duck at it but alwayd go positive while using it. Things I like most about the other classes: Hunter - Cool looks and the easiest to use jump. Interesting Supers that reward timing and accuracy. Titan - The Bubble alongside Helm of Saint-14 and a shotgun. That and Fist of Havoking someone who is in the middle of their super. Things I dislike about the other classes: Hunter - Faction gear is ugly, Bladedancer sucks to use and at least for me the hit detection is off quite a bit. I also hate the smoke/vortex combo but that is less of am issue. Titan - Shoulder Charge hitbox. It is broken as hell. Also being FoH'd out of my super is annoying. NBP + Universal remote. Overall I like all the classes but I think I prefer the playstyle of the Voidwalker.

                        • Warlocks,I picked them at the start(played with the other ones but still prefer my warlock) I really like the gameplay style, high recovery and armor, skill tree has lots of interesting and useful perks(and I always like to play the Mage on such games) I really don't like how the jump works, the other ones makes you go up,with the warlock, you need to get a timing to be able to complete jump puzzles(activating and deactivating your jump at the right time),and after playing a bit with other characters,it gets confusing And I dislike that we barely have exotics that grants abilities, like Titans have(and I want an evade)

                            1. Warlock 2. I love the whole idea of the "warrior scholars" who rely on powerful abilities (mage type, which I always play in rpgs) 3. I hate our lack of essential support abilities (i.e. Ward of Dawn, Shadowshot), and to a lesser extent dislike the slow ass jump As for the other classes, I like the badass renegade appeal of the hunter and the support power of nightstalkers, but dislike the comparitively boring and underwhelming abilities of the other subclasses. Titans are fine, and that's the problem. They have decent abilities, and are strong and useful, but just don't appeal to me like warlocks do.

                            • 1. I picked a warlock because I always loved being a wizard/mage. I love magic because you can do some amazing things with it. Instead of flailing your fists around or throwing knives, I liked casting magic. 2. Stormcaller melee range. I hate to say it but paired with the chaperone, and boom. Instant cheap move. Sometimes killing ppl with a chaperone headshot from a mile away makes me feel sorry for them, let alone the bodyshot melee combo with the extra range. 3. What I like about the other classes is this: titans are simple; smash it, throw a hammer or just pop a bubble so the enemy would just come to you. I always loved the feeling of generating 8 orbs of light when I kill a bajillion thrall. Hunters have sort of an elegance to them, they throw knives, traps and smokes, getting away with the little things that can catch you off guard. Like the trip mine or the smoke, you never know if you should run around the corner with a hunter around it. Lol, long post, it's 23:58. Sya

                            • Hunter. I like their mobility and speed. It suits my play style well. Nightstalker is my go-to. For PvP, I like the abilities and they work perfectly with a defensive approach. In PvE, I love you get to be a sort of offensive support class. What I dislike is the shitty armor stats you get. To really take advantage of Hunters, high agility is the way to go, IMO. Otherwise, you might as well use a different class. But, if you run high agility, you die very easily in PvP. Tripmines and certain melees can take me out in one hit. That makes them tougher to use, IMO. We might be nimble, but if we screw up and get caught we're -blam!-ed.

                              • Titan Honestly, it's probably because it's what I started on. But it is still very fun to use. If I'm in PVP, striker is the way to go, and PVE, I can do any subclass. But my favorite part about Titans is that I can go high risk high reward with game play. I run and gun, and love just being a tank in the battlefield. My least favorite thing, and this is a major pet-peeve of mine, is that lack of agility. It's a somewhat minor thing, but overall the Titan is sorta slow and I can't bounce around the battlefield like a hunter could. Also the melee is really slow. In PVP, if it comes to melees, the hunters and warlocks always beat me to it. This is why I use striker in PVP, the shoulder charge gives me a fighting chance.

                              • Hunters I like nightstalker I love the shadestep. I like nightstalker because I personally love reading. And I read a lot about elves and they use bows and so does nightstalker. And I love the future of this game going into. Good luck guardians.

                              • I choose the Titans. I like having pretty darn good armor for the many bad situations I rush into without thinking. I also find the supers to be pretty satisfying. I mean, come on, how can flaming hammers not be amazing? The Ward of Dawn is one big plus, being the only defensive super in the game. The melees are nice and solid, if not somewhat overpowered, and the lovely smack sound effect always makes me happy. I also think lift is the perfect combination of the double jump's agility and glide's distance. The look of the armor is badass, and probably somewhat scary to non-guardians. The only thing I hate about Titans are the gunsmith weapons. The Fabian Strategy is...... just, wow. Its perk should be on a shotgun. The Immobius isn't unspeakably sad, unlike the Strategy, but it isn't anything spectacular. Neither of them are worth the somewhat grindy quest, unless you have a bunch of free time and a need for exotic shards. Titan mmmmmm race!

                              • I like Warlock because of Space Magic. Just the beauty of its abilities. I like hunter because of Golden Gun. I use a friends account and main hunter there just to play crucible. I don't like hunters because of Wombo Combo. Yes it was slightly nerfed but even if it doesn't kill you it makes you pretty weak. I like Titans because of Juggernaut. Its just OP enough to be good but not enough to get nerfed. And yeah its irritating but its a cool perk. I really have no problems with titans. Something a little irritating is bubbles I guess. Maybe supressor grenades more. Not that it takes your super/abilities but because it takes away jump capabilities.
