Step One: Take the survey and pick your favorite Class, whatever your reason, just pick it. Step Two: Post down below the Class you picked and the reasons it's your favorite. Easiest to use? Lore around them? Looks? Cookies? Step Three: Tell us what you hate the most about the Class you picked. Try to pick something that doesn't make your Class look weak. For example; I pick a Warlock but I hate Stormcallers and think they are cheap. Bonus Step: If you feel up to it and aren't afraid of upsetting other Classes, state what you like most and least about the other two Classes. My goal is to see if people will be honest with themselves and hopefully bring out some good and healthy debates. This isn't bait or anything like that. Shooting for something different compared to most posts I see on the forums. Edit 1: Wow 80+ comments!! You guys are awesome!! No salt or toxic either. I have hope again for the community. Edit 2: Just about 150 comments! Exciting to me consider this is my first post to get any notice =P Looks like Titans and Hunters are pretty popular and warlocks slightly behind. Overall all about the same though. Enjoying all the comments and stories on why you picked your class and your pros/cons. Keep them coming! Everyone has got their own reasons and people seem to really enjoy the topic!

  • Warlock. The floating jump sucks blink all day. I could care less about hunters or Titans

  • Titan. It's been my main since beta. Liked the idea of a tanky armor clad badass that could get into the fray with a shotgun and come out of it alive more often than not. In PvE i always play Defender. That bubble is more useful to the team than any other super in the game ( except for the occasional Warlock res :p ). Not a big fan of the Titan Extra height jump or general lack of mobility. The Striker sub-class is also pretty naff imo. Especially the fist of Panic. Defender is much better for support and creating orbs ( if speced correctly ) and Sunbreaker pisses all over it for offensive capability.

  • I picked Hunter, it was my main since alpha. I don't like that Nightstalker is the only reasonable choice for endgame PvE anymore.

  • I like hunters because they can look really cool and have some nice abilities, but the raid armour looks awful

  • I play a Hunter- Nightstalker because have a super that is a bow is awesome. I only found out about the shadestep a while ago and that makes me love the class more. But then there's the awkward point when you use the super and die immediately. I don't even think we get the overshield without choosing a certain perk. Plus the bow it's not much of the attacking super without quiver and that ruins the reason for the bow. I can't really say much about other classes besides the overshield of the other classes and the almost impossible Titans bubbles but that's understandable.

    • 1. Titan 2. What's awesome. Appearance, lore, maneuverability, and PvE damage resist. And I happen to like all three subclasses. Defender is tough and great for support. Sunbreaker is potentially devastating in PvP. 3. What's not so great: Damage resist doesn't pass to PvP. Less stealthy than hunters. 4. Hunters: I like them too. I like their stealth, I like their cloaks, and I like them better for PvE because of stealth and neutral game. Warlocks: The jump. It sucks. It REALLY sucks. I deleted at least one warlock because of that horrible jump. Only have one around now because, well, Stormcallers are just too awesome not to have.

Warlock I like Warlock because I like the long coats/dusters, I like their magic abilities, and I like the supernatural side of them. I even enjoy their lore. I really like Stormcaller...I find myself yelling: "UNLIMITED POWER!!!" When I stormtrance. I feel heroic when I stormtrance and clear the battlefield and/or save my pinned down friends by annihilating the enemy. I dislike how Sunsinger feels like a halfway support class. I like being support, and helping my friends. But taking a long look over Sunsinger, the class just doesn't have strong enough buffs, protect others, or have the changes/utility needed to be support. Bonus Question: Hunter I like how Hunter's feel like Bounty Hunters from Star Wars. Using Technology to even the odds. I like the cloaks, and I LOVE how flashy Bladedance is in PVE. It just feels and looks epic. I dislike Hunter Armor. Many sets just look ugly to me. Makes me feel more like a garbageman than an adventurer. I also Dislike Golden Gun. I can't put my finger on it but it feels like its missing something. Titan I like the armor, its awesome. I love the Heavy Impact of Fist of Havoc, I love how Epic Hammer of Sol looks. I enjoy how reckless they can fight. I dislike shoulder charge. "I" just don't see how a tackle can kill (in both gameplay modes). I dislike the Titan class item. I barely notice it and I feel like class items should be very noticeable.

      • Hunter cuz cloaks are cooler than arm bracelets and skirts. Hunters are lone wolfs. Thats me. I have no friends who play destiny. I go out alone, exploring. Ive done virtually everything there is to do. I work in a team when i need to. Titans are okay, if you wanna look like master chief again and have a super that is just like the 1st second of the 30 second warlock super. Warlocks are so o.p. in everyway and yet rank lowest in virtually every pvp stat except melee kills. They are basically the default class for new to fps players (your 7 year old sister, your grandma, that foreign exchange student from easter island.) "just throw your grenade grannie, youll get a kill i promise." Cloaks forever!

      • Titan I'm always the "Up Close" guy in any game. I'm a sidewalk-crackin mother in real life, and I like my in-game me to reflect that lol SunBreaker, Zhalo, and either My LongBow or my Lord of Wolves, and sweet, sweet Dreadfang. I have mastered the art of sticky grenades, and i recently discovered a love for sniping, so I make for an interesting opponent. I SUPER HATE SHOULDER+SHOTGUN. I think it's cheap and the most OP thing in the game except for Warlocks Damage output. I hate it so much I will not use it. I also hate golden gun, and storm trance. Annoying. AF.

        • My favorite class is the hunter gunslinger, I'm like the generic seteup, tripmines for traps or classic frag grenades, back when primaries where very good, chain of woe and gunslingers trance really helped me gain some momentum and go on great kill streaks I really dislike the fact that you can find the perks on armor and weapons though, and the perks become less viable the more primaries get nerfed, the speed of the class makes it hard to close the gap at times, but I manage, the air time hunters get on a jump goes both ways, but it can screw me over if an opponent catches me mid air. For the warlcoks I like the balanced speed and feeling of control in terms of movement, grenades help force and opponent to move, but i hate the lack strength in the surge perks and lack of gunplay enhancing abilities Titans have great survivability when it comes to locking down a zone, and getting serious momentum with force barrier, but their agility is down right distasteful.

        • Titan. I love simmering flames with maxed discipline and throwing grenades all the time, jumping into the foray and not worrying about dying. "If it moves, it dies" - titan motto. I dislike the fact I think I missed out on a lot of the nuance of destiny gameplay by picking titan straight out of the gate because it seemed like the style that most easily translated from playing as master chief. I die to stormcallers a lot so I probably dislike that subclass the most.

          • When I first got Destiny I started with a warlock (because, ya know... space magic) but I shifted to a hunter after house of wolves and I haven't looked back. I love the cloaks (let's be honest they're the best class item) and just the overall look of the armor. I do hate that most of the streamers and youtubers that call for nerfs and get things ruined (because Bungie loves their unpaid content pushers) main hunters. This gives hunters a bad name--which sucks. However, I will say that Defender titan and Voidwalker warlock are my favorite alts. There's just something that is so much fun about punching the holy crap out of everyone that runs into your bubble. Almost two full years and people still run into bubbles. Best thing in this game

Plus ur usually dead too! - once timed correctly tho ..... Amazingness I dislike nothing about any character or subclass I play and like them all for their differences

              • Class: Hunter Subclass: Nightsalker Reason: After maining 3 warlocks year one, I deleted two and started one of each class. I quickly fell in love with the Hunter, the movement and finesse of the class. Dislike: I can't stand the amount of saltiness there is around Hunters in the crucible. I also don't like the Blade dancer class, just haven't been able to really connect with it. Other classes: I still like the warlock, other than the floaty jumps, it's still a really fun class. I just have more fun with Hunter. For Titan, I opened all three subclasses and gave them a decent amount of playtime, but just never really connected with the playstyle and the lore. It was never just one thing, kind of a combination of things.

I picked the Titan because it's the class that most fitted my playstyle at the time (back in December '14). To this day, my Titan is the only one to not have received a hard reset, although I still have one of each character. That and it just feels so..easy to use. Last September, nothing could beat the feeling of smashing apart the enemy's best laid plans with the Sunbreaker, be they in the Crucible or the Wildernesses; pre-TK, that was largely the Strikers' job. What I dislike about the Titan? Defenders, although they're starting to shine through, aren't anything like what their Grimoire card describes. Impregnable and invincible, maybe in PvE..but in PvP they get broken far too easily - they just seem lacklustre compared to the more offensively-focused Strikers and Sunbreakers. For what I feel about the others: I like how zippy Hunters are, but even after the nerf BDs still go a little too far just by slashing their oversized butter knife. Nightstalkers had the potential to be another supportive subclass, but that went out of the window when Bungie decided to, instead having the Tether suppress on contact, for it to kill. Gunslingers..nothing says "glass cannon" like the good ol' Gunslinger, and it's the one class I'd go to over and over again, if I wasn't stuck with the grind of levelling the other subclasses. Warlocks: you guys really need to tone it down with the ranged melee. It comes in handy, but for the already-respectable range of the base melee the charged versions just do a little too much damage at too long a range to be balanced (looking at you, Stormcallers). In terms of the others, Nova does well in multikill scenarios, but VWs are just feel lacking in the neutral game; Sunsingers are again a missed opportunity for a Support Warlock (support subclasses should net your team points in Crucible for getting kills while under the influence of a buff/while the enemy is debuffed i.e. suppressed).

                  • Beta player with a hunter and loved both the subclass abilities. I enjoy all classes but I began enjoying the Warlock more. Not only because of all the subclass abilities, but also to be able to solo nightfall each week. Wasn't always successfull though which balanced challenge for me while using revive throughout a harder strike (hello omnigul/Nexus). The dread of being kicked back into orbit after pouring carefully spent time and still failing when Nexus/Omigul/Valus had one hairline of health left added to the suspense in for every playthrough 😧. Painful yet rewarding at times. I still enjoy the Hunter and love void subclass abilities but find that when I switch to my hunter now I die way more easily/often in pve. It takes some getting used to with remembering your limits. Ultimately I feel like I just can't support the team more as a hunter which is how I usually like to play in both pve and pvp. Back in year 1 I was able to survive the team as last living player using the arc subclass quite a few times though. Been going steady with Warlock as my main and thoroughly enjoying Nova Bomb just too much 😏.

                  • Class: Hunter Subclass: Nightstalker Why: I love the idea that the Hunter is supposed to be a space ninja and using a bow exemplifies that. I love the poison bomb in cahoots with a grenade. Why not: I feel the Hunter is not at it's full potential of a being a space ninja. Even with ability maxed, the Hunter should out run and out maneuver the Titan and Warlock with ease. There isn't a melee that is equivalent to the Titan or Warlock Scorch melee, other than Blink, but you've got to be behind the the enemy for it's effect to work efficiently.

                    • I'm a hunter main, here's why: When I got the game, I was told my some friends that Titans were mostly a support class, warlocks had powerful abilities, and hunters focus on gun skill. Obviously as I got acclimated to the game I realized it wasn't as black and white as that. Anyway, I started watching streamer house back in the day in October 2014 running vault of glass with a hunter. It made me want to continue my adventures with the class I chose. I ended up falling in love with the hunter due to its fast paced playstyle and exhilarating fights where I could die any second with little to fall back on. Excited to see what you other guardians chose way back when during the golden age!

Hunter Was first character. I like the jump ability and their roam suppers. Hate the fact that if you have a charged melee it's used sometimes while trying to knife on nighstalker. All some of the grenades across the subclasses don't feel powerful
