The problem is that right now you have chance to get 10 weapons after completing KF hard. And it takes 1-2 hours to complete. Meanwhile to get Vanguard/crucible/faction weapons we need to: 1 - Spend 2 hours of playing crucible/strikes with rep boosters to get 1 package that have 66% of giving you a weapon. 2 - Spend a few days for farming Legendary marks to buy one gun. So, in current state it is harder to get non-raid gear than raid gear.
