Well if your referring to the Raid and the NF, then yeah, those were the only PvE things I would do each week.
Once your at endgame, what other PvE content is there to really do? It should also be noted, tho I do enjoy doing the raids, Im much more of a PvP player.

Well yeah Pve daily heroic missions, strike playlist patrol even And not the raid, but the weekly heroic strikes at the time and the nightfall were the only two activities with elemental burns, which has since been nerfed so that we do less damage than the enemies.

Maybe not so much kings fall but the previous 2 raids there were plenty of ultras with elemental shields. So using elemental primaries was the obvious choice to me. Never do the dailies or even just heroic strikes. And yeah you definitely can do good damage to shielded enemies with kinetic weapons now, but you still do significantly more with elemental weapons
