Whenever we have one person die on totems, people on my team will say that we can still pull it off. They say that we just need to rotate sides (instead of sticking to left, for example, you'll go down right the next time, after expending Deathsinger's power). But whenever we try that we end up wiping.
I was wondering: what is the trick with five-manning totems?

1 ReplyEdited by zero_GD_: 8/9/2016 1:42:56 PMThe person losing deathsinger's power in the middle simply waits halfway through the tunnel. Then the person with the brand loses it, it returns there for you to pick it up. It's slow, so you have to move quickly as soon as you pick it up. Totems can be run correctly (without the previous sword cheese) by four people. I won't lie, it's tough to concentrate on grabbing the brand while wiping adds and it means each person has to be able to solo the Totems.

1 ReplyEdited by Halonimus: 8/9/2016 1:14:10 PMFor us the big challenge with less than 6 was to get the timing and the location right for swapping the aura. The person in the middle pretty much runs back to the totem as soon as the deathsingers power is gone and the person on the totem runs as soon as the timer for the aura is at 5-4. If done correctly both should meet at the bottom of the ramp (where your shield begins to drain) and swap the aura. We clutched Totems a few times this way but it's a pain in the ass and the adds are a whole other story. Either way good luck next time. We actually did a 4 man normal run a while before that to get a feeling for the encounters. That will help a lot, too.

7 RepliesWell usually our tatic is putting the weakest person on the left cause me and my friend always have a sword So if the weakest dies the guy at the bottom on his own blocks with his sword when the ora goes and the other one coming from middle waits for the ora to respawn and we just repeat it

You swing the sword until you get to the other side

1 ReplySwapping sides and having force barrier or flame shield to survive a bit longer on the plate with no aura.

1 ReplyEdited by PapaSubpar: 8/8/2016 10:19:51 PMI don't know about getting it done with 5, but the key to our group getting it done, was giving everyone a job to do. In our group, the Aura bearer is responsible for all of the ranged enemies. While the one waiting to receive the aura, handles all of the melee adds that run down the hill. He can also help with ranged enemies while the Aura bearer snipes the Knight above. The two clearing their death singers, handle the Wizard, and try to thin the number of melee adds working their way down the hills. Once we used this, we stopped having problems clearing totems.

4 RepliesThe only way I've ever 5 manned totems is having 1 person stay in the middle to kill everything while the left and right sides coordinate and meet in the middle of the path to pass the buff while still having enough time to get back to the totem. It requires perfect timing and good communication, aka not going to happen in lfg. You're much more likely to clear totems faster by wiping and trying again with 6.

1 ReplyShit. Think about it. If your team can't 6 man it, How the hell will they 5 man it? 1 shoot adds 2 stand on plate 3 switch to center 4 wait 13 seconds 5 back to side plate 6 repeat 👆this is not the hardest part of raid
