I don't know how many times I'm looking at a lightning grenade, scared to make a play because I'm afraid it will kill me. God forbid I shoot at it repeatedly(sometimes it's difficult to hit an enemy grenade) and get killed by an enemy because my focus is misplaced. It would help to give grenades a red or blue hue, depending what team I'm on to help determine if an area denial grenade is an enemy or friendly grenade.
Edit: Kendo604 mentioned Titan bubbles having a team color, great idea!
Edit: 2 lightning grenades were the example really. Any lingering effect should be immediately distinguishable between friendly and dangerous.
Edit: 3 I know that you can find out when I shoot the thing or "run through and take damage" what I'm asking for is faster, better identification.

Tripmines mess me up real bad

Edited by CJ: 8/7/2016 6:58:43 PMYou probably should have high enough armor to survive a tripmine grenade. It's kind of your fault if you don't.
-
Bump.
-
Edited by Weesil xD: 8/8/2016 3:22:01 PMFor tripmines, if they're glowing white, it's your teams. If it's red then it'll try and kill you. Unless you're the one who threw it.
-
Actually, they should take a page from Overwatch regarding effect colors: Enemies are red, Allies are blue,
RYUU GA WAGA TEKI WO KURAU
Seriously, though, it'd be nice to be able to tell whose persistent FoH hotspot or sunspot or lightening grenade or X that is without looking at the kill feed.

Over watch does it best
-
I'd rather them take whatever magnetism they've put on sticky grenades out of the game, tired of getting stuck by grenades around corners or having them curve into me. Stickys should be like halo where they actually have to hit the player to stick instead of curving to players.
-
It does. Go up and touch it. If it zaps you, it's not your teams...
-
So true sometimes I'll shoot the lighting grenade or trip mine for 15 secs 😅
-
Edited by Alin: 8/7/2016 2:30:28 PMNerf everything apparently. Anything else you would like them to make easier for you? What's next, code pillows on the ground so you take no damage when you land from a high distance.
-
A friendly tripmine has a white light that goes with the red light.
-
Let's just get rid of grenades and use water balloons.
-
Yeah man when I hear a Titan using Sun breaker it would be nice to see like a notification on the bottom left that says "teammate (insert name) has activated super" something like that
-
I would like that for supers as well. Have it so you can tell when somebody is hostile/friendly as they pop their super. It's annoying playing with rando's and searching to see if one of my teammates popped their super or if it was an enemy.
-
Idk, I've never had a problem because of the grenade icon indication thing. I think it's good like this because you have to be aware about your surroundings, which is what PVP players should be doing.
-
This isn't Overwatch.
But still, good idea.
-
That sounds incredibly useful and also badass, seeing stuff like a red or blue titan bubble, red or blue grenades or even nova bombs would be really cool (pls bungie don't see this and think "hmmm these idiots will pay 2000 silver to paint their bubble red! more money!)
-
-
Or maybe supers with effects (Nova Bomb with the vortex) (FOH with Aftermath) (Nightstalker Tether)
-
Nah, I humbly disagree.
-
-
I'd like the Lightning from a Titan grenade to be red for an enemy. Good indicator and looks sweet. Stays blue if friendly.
-
My own axion bolt kills me.... I do not have time to worry about others grenades..... As soon as I throw that bolt, im running for my life. If my bolt does not hit a enemy, it will come after me and kill me instantly....
-
Well tripmines already do with a wine light surrounding the red one, but otherwise I completely agree
-
The grenade indicator that shows up when a grenade is chasing you should be above enemy grenades and smoke bombs. And red. That would help. I usually just stay away from any grenade. Be used me standing in it will deter people from it.
-
Yea it be cool if enemy grenades where highlighted/glowed red or at least had some sort of indicator.
