My Feedback on viking funeral (Great idea, ineffective implementation)

TLDR: I dont care about the old VF but the new one is not viable. If i had to choose between two versions of this perk: -Viking funeral makes my sunsinger burn absolute everything in PvE and scorches the earth in PvP or -Viking funeral is a very nice reliable debuff that my team appreciates. I'm a Sunsinger, i want to be support. I would prefer the NEW VF over the old IF it was actually usable. I still find it odd that a wholesubclass was nerfed over somthing that frustrated players in trials. Everything that's not a normal gun is going to be frustrating in small player matches. [b][u]Current VF:[/u][/b] -5% damage debuff on a target for 2.5 seconds that doesn't reset the timer on the next hit. (can stack 3 times) -Ignite for thoose who don't know, by default only applies when your scorch melee ability is up. -If you want to use this perk on a boss, its going to be a boss that will knock you back or destroy your face during a raid. -So lets give up radiant will/sunburst/gift of the sun/angel of light, just so i can throw one debuff grenade at a boss that lasts for 2.5 seconds for 5% more damage. -Lets use an exotic that gives me an extra grenade. -I'll throw two grenades, but that second grenade took me a second to throw, which means I only had 10% damage there for maybe 1.5 seconds. -Even if i used radiance and constantly bombarded the boss with grenades, I feel/know that the DPS i could be doing if i just shot at him would be greater than the bonus my allies could output by a... actually i don't even know if i can even hit a 15% debuff.   • Do you know of Datto? He tested the damage stacking. You actually can't hit 15% only using grenades.

      • I was doing a raid last night, and could not find a situation in which it would be effective. I was much better off just hammering the bosses with my weapons. I'm not even entirely sure if it stacks with tether or not.

      • This is also coming right as bungie is about to implement an artifact that reduces dot damage in rise of iron

      • They need to increase the duration of the debuff. Make it apply with ignite effects, but have a separate, longer duration than the DoT. It being connected too the duration of the DoT damage is making it ineffective to use. They need to keep the bonus small, else people will bitch about it in PvP too if you could tag someone with a DoT and get a sizable bonus to damage.

      • Not sure you get it. Bungie wants you lose if you play a warlock. That is the reason warlocks are a joke. We have been nerffed into the ground. Your super sucks it kill nobody yet every super kills you. Hell you don't even need a super to kill warlock. You can piss on a warlock & they die. Next a good teabag will kill them. This is the Bungie way. They tell it is in the name of balance yet there is nothing balanced about warlocks now. That's the Bungie lie.

      • Just buff the rebuff and make it process without tof

      • You can also apply this debuf by using "touch of flame" on your grenades since VF is all about igniting. What works really wel (in my opinion) is the sunbreaker gauntlets with touch of flame and fiking funeral. It will help your team and your dps could be pretty big
