So let me get this straight to unlock the quests after the story, we actually have to do the raid in order to finsh the story to get the quests.....seriously sounds like we are forced to do the raid

Unless he meant since we get a record book to track our progress- including the raid maybe that's why he said continuation I know will be max fast or close to it because of my excessive farming but my team wont even be close

What he means is that the Raid is a continuation of the story/canon/lore. Like Crota's End and King's Fall were. Everything done in the story missions led up to the raids. Whereas Vault of Glass was just kind of there with one minor reference from the story, and Prison of Elders was linked to the story, but didn't really progress it at all.
