Arminius vs zarinaea
I'm not an auto rifle guy by any means but am willing to give one of these a try so I was curious which of these 2 is considered the better rifle? I would like an auto rifle that is decent in both pvp and pve and heard that these are good all around rifles. True? Please explain your opinion and why. Thanks.

I've been playing around with ARs for the last month or so. The HROF archetypes with stability rolls provide the quickest TTK. Overall Doctrine is the best however Soulstealers is also good IF you get the stability roll. Arminius placed third in group. For MROF there are two from this archetype worth mentioning. Righteous VII and Paleocontact from Dead Orbit. These are FUN guns in PVE especially in end game content where small arms is the modifier. For example this weeks NF. The reason I don't jump on the Shadow Price bandwagon despite having a god roll version is because the TTK is to slow for PVP and the clip size is too small for PVE. The worst AR in the game is probably the raid AR. I've got it equipped on my Warlock. Decided to try it and despite having a stability perk it's still hard to handle on a consistent basis compared to the others previously mentioned. Lastly, the exotics. Suros, Hard Light, Monte Carlo and Zhalo are all FUN to use. Not great but fun. I'm looking forward to Khostov. Looks to be multiple options to try with this gun.

Both are great choices. Both benefit greatly from having good perks for your play style.

High ROF auto rifles > all other auto rifles. This doesn't have to be the case, but Bungie would just rather nerf the high ROF type than to try to make the other ones good. If you have an Arminius order, don't settle for anything else except Counterbalance + Braced Frame. The 3rd perk does not matter.

I fell in love with my zarnaea. I suck at PvP but I do 10×s better with it over any other auto. Including Arminius with counterbalance and braced frame.

Zarinaea-D is more consistent and less dependent on having perfect stability to be serviceable.

Arminians is more competitive than Zarinaea.

They're both good depending on rolls and situation. Zarinaea is a solid PvE AR - but I don't think mid-rof ARs are big in PvP right now. On the other hand, I know bullet-hoses like Arminius [i]are[/i] big in PvP (I don't play PvP btw, but I'm sure you'll get some other feedback on this.) I've never liked bullet-hoses in PvE much - but if you have an Arminius order and hold out for a roll with focus fire [i]it becomes a Zarinaea with a 72-round mag and 700+ round reserve.[/i] Best primary in PvE for just getting it done imo.

Ever use a doctrine? Cause the Arminius is a Doctrine if you have a good roll
