Autorifle
(Shadow Price, Antipodal Hindsight etc.)
Pulserifle
(Spare Change, Lyudmila-D).
Autorifles for this archetype are assist machines. TTK is excruciating slow.
Pulserifles for this archetype are completely non-competative. Only in specific circumstances are they a 2 shot. You get outgunned by Hawksaw, Grasp, PDXes etc.
Please review and adjust these so I can dust them off again, without having to challenge myself for using a shitty weapon.

Well - waiting for the big Crucible reveal I guess..

1 ReplyI completely agree with u when it comes to the Low RoF pulse rifles. However for them to be competitive again I feel like they have to go back to how they were in year 1, where they did 38 damage a bullet and could 2 burst to the head if you could aim. I believe that would bring the time to kill closer to that of the Hawksaw and PDX 45. now Bungie would be left to figure out what to do with the PDX 41, Red Reath style of pulse rifles because they take 3 bursts to kill as well the problem with that is that you have other pulses that do that faster, which leaves these pulses irrelevant.

7 RepliesEdited by iAMzLynx: 8/4/2016 1:17:58 PMI very much agree with what you are saying. I feel like the "buff" that the slow RoF autos received in April was non-existent. It's nice to see some sensible minds on the forums for once.

4 RepliesThat feeling when you grind 275+ strikes for the Hopscotch Pilgrim only for them to completely change the weapon's archetype within a month even though it was being left in Year 1. I don't understand their logic, if someone took the time to grind for the weapon and it performs the same (maybe slightly better with the right roll) than an easily obtained weapon (The Messenger) why nerf it completely by changing its archetype? It was only going to be relevant in normal Crucible playlists that were unaffected by light levels anyway.

1 ReplyAdd in the removal of the Bloom Cone on Hand Cannons and we got a great patch.

1 ReplyAuto rifles like the shadow price are incredibly good when you have a good roll. The only issue is you csnt play aggressively

3 RepliesHigh impact scouts need a little(very little) but more love as well Bump
bump dida bump dida bump bump bump
I love my shadow price

Even though high impact pulse rifles can potentially two-burst kill, the ridiculous amount of flinch from other weapons, especially Hawksaw and Grasp of Malok, make it harder to pull off than using No Land Beyond.

Well, sometimes you feel that you are firing with a cork gun.

6 RepliesTTK is right there with other weapons, the only issue is if you miss a shot the time till the next is to long, if they buff them and you land all shots TTK will be to short....leave them as is.

13 RepliesEdited by ironBOXoKITTENS: 8/4/2016 8:18:25 PMI agree with OP that high-impact auto rifles need some help damage wise, but am inclined to disagree on the pulses. At 34 damage per bullet, with two bursts you are putting out 204 damage total with six precision headshots, more than enough to two burst all guardians with 10 or less armor. (For reference, 10 armor is equal to a max armor striker without an armor chest piece.) The problem with high-impact pulses is the lack of consistent options for this archetype of pulse rifle. We have two available to us in the Taken King, the Lyudmila-D and the Spare Change.25 Hakke pulses already have difficult to handle recoil patterns, and the pulse rifle nerfs seem to have hit them the hardest. Spare Change has an awful pull to the left in addition to low base stability. Both available high-impact pulses practically require a Counterbalance + Braced Frame roll to be viable weapons in the current meta. TL;DR: High Impact pulses are in a good spot damage-wise, but the lack of useable options makes them nonexistent in the current meta, barring some special cases.

1 ReplyGet Antipodal/Shadow Price/Grim Citizen with high stability, the issue will be solved. I have the rifle on my hunter, take a look. Low stability on AR is bad in general because headshots are missed.
