You might get lucky with a couple shots a game but that's not enough to switch a match in your favour. Shotguns u just have to get close enough to slide at someone and pull the trigger. My argument is if u get an average player, they will more then likely do better with a shotgun then a sniper. A great player will have more success controlling a map with a sniper (obviously). As for aim assist, if you took it away almost noone would snipe in pvp. Try sniping on a console game with no aim assist and you'll see how much more difficult it is. Putting that mechanic in a relatively fast paced game like destiny would make them very, very difficult to use in pvp. A drop in aim assist would be ok but bungie can't overdo a nerf like they have done in the past or they could be rendered almost useless unless you really are an elite/ top percentile sniper. Not to mention all of the pve players who would be quite upset.

  • True, but if everyone is using sniper, a couple of shots a game is... yeah. Not saying it's likely, but that's something I've noticed. I'm bad at shotgunning. I can't do it... I just can't. I can tie with people and that's about it. I'm a much better sniper. Also more relaxed while doing it. Less to focus on. I don't agree with you solely on personal experience. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong. Just from my point of view.
