They are great one day, horrible the next. And no my aim is not off.

1 ReplyGhost bullets right now are the reason I use Jade Rabbit. It's perk is just enough of a bonus that it changes it from, for a 3 shot kill, Head-Head-Head to Body-Head-Head or Head-Body-Head. Kill times as good as a HC, but the bullets go where the gun is more or less pointed, at much further range, with a larger magazine. Jade Rabbit right now is just a better HC. At least to me.

I think most hand cannons need the range stat that Thorn has. They just do. Those bullets will disappear otherwise
-
6 RepliesThe problem is that handcannons with the best range are the only viable options. Handcannons need a buff in general, while Hawkmoon and TLW are unchanged. As it is right now it seems like Hawkmoon, TLW, and Lord High fixer are the only good ones. Everything else is garbage.

Just need one with good range stat. They are horrible without good range

Hand cannons are perfect right now. I'm doing just fine with hand cannons. They are my favorite guns at the moment

5 RepliesEdited by Enochua: 8/2/2016 8:26:25 AMhand cannons are some of the best guns in game right now. even out side of TLW and hawkmoon

I do not use them to take down campers a half of the map away anymore. Range was reduced thanks to n00bs crying so loud back in year one. Disgusting. Damn millenials ruin the game.

This issue stems from Range being tied to Accuracy. They need to be separated.

Edited by GlassBiscuit: 8/2/2016 11:33:55 PMi agree they need a buff, but I mainly think they need a range swap (A ROLE SWAP). Hand-cannons function similar to pulse-rifles, if you miss, you are punished severely. PR and HC also deal massive damage when a headshot is landed. Their similarity allows them to compete and rely on skill to determine the winner. Handcannons make sense at close range from a standpoint IRL, but in game, they fit in along-side the pulse rifles. Therefore, hand cannons should be middle range weapons. Having a 1.7x zoom on them makes them harder to use in close range, so that would help them find an optimal range at mid-range.

1 on 1 handcannon fights aren't about gunskill anymore. It's about who's handcannon has more accuracy. It's stupid. Bungie should decrease the range differences between handcannons and add bonus range and stability. Also, get rid of bloom. That shit's infuriating.

funny hand cannons remain one of the best crucible weapons to use. maybe your aim is off?
-
Agree. I hate hand cannons ever since the Thorn/Last word nerf. Stability sucks, range sucks, ghost bullets all day. Ugh. And the weird part is these guns are the hardest to master of all primary weapons. Mostly because the kick of the gun moving completely from the target. Scouts and pulses you can just tap, tap, tap and with auto's just hold the trigger. And they stay on target! It is weird that there is no real reason to use hand cannons these days. Horrible stability and range. Ghost bullets. Small magazine. Every bounty with a hand cannon just sucks. Wish hand cannons would react to a trigger pull the same way as side arms do.

range accuracy buff. Stability. By 2 or 5. Love ace n hawkmoon n baby hawk

They have been changed to spit ball guns. They shoot just as far. They lost the right to be called cannons when ttk released. IMO.
