I'm confused cozmo and would definitely like a answer asap. Now I absolutely do not like the crucible thanks too all the nerfs that has come from it, but I'll play when one of my friends drags me into it. This leads into why I am confused, because as we all know the crucible is horrendously filled with so many cheaters it's outrageous. In fact what I don't get is why nerfs get handed out like candy on Halloween and bans for cheating is like a myth period. Nerf post on here get more attention than any post about cheaters every damn time, and the cheating post come with proof. It's bad enough you can buy mods to cheat on this game. You can buy lag switches and the sellers description on some of them tells you destiny is a great game to use it on because you have a low chance of getting banned. I really wish the team over at bungie had better dedication on banning cheaters like blizzard with overwatch. I guess my question is why put more effort in weapon nerfs or "balance" than banning cheaters? What's the point of messing with our guns and subclass if they have no effect on a cheater who's character can eat a full clip in the face?

  • Report them so they can be banned. Yes, Bungie bans, but they can't if cheaters aren't properly reported. Also horrendously filled? Don't exaggerate.

  • Report them, this guy. Ok look everyone obliviously reports cheaters, but guess what? They don't get banned, and if they do its not long enough because they go right back in and do it again. And I'm not exaggerating the amount of cheaters. The amount of videos and complaints showing this happening, especially when trials or iron banner comes around is the proof it's filled with cheaters or else you wouldn't come across the videos on here in the first place.

  • You're talking about a vocal minority. You think most people have YouTube channels and go around making videos about not seeing cheaters? It's not that many. And how do you know they don't get banned?

  • A vocal minority is more than enough. People including myself wouldn't be talking about it if it wasn't a problem, especially if it's being ignored.I could ask you how would you know if they did get banned, but since my own brother and a few of his friends has played the same cheaters three different times, that tells me they don't banned. You can get banned faster by talking shit over cheating. Your response is something that I would expect from bungie. You see if the ban hammer was actually used, we wouldn't have this issue every damn trials event or iron banner. People wouldn't be selling lag switches and telling them your caught ratio is low if your using it playing destiny. In fact just putting in lag switches for sale under Google you will see "lag switches destiny" before you even type in "for sale".

  • A minority is a called a minority for a reason, which means it's not "horrendously rampant".

  • But he has a point. I watch my bf go through the same thing every time he plays trials. He would run into at least three groups that would abuse the system too their advantage. Yeah you can report but anyone with common sense knows they come right back. Seeing the frustration on his face every time this happens too his team makes me wonder how often the hammer actually gets swung. And yes YouTube has a decent amount of these videos, but like op said a nerf post will get more attention hands down. I know I'm still new on destiny but my bf who plays every single second he gets when he's off always complains about this very fact as well.

  • Trials represents less than 20% of the population. If we average 3 cheaters per 9 matches, that's 1/3 of 20% at most.

  • Yes and that 20%bring 100% misery to those honest players trying to complete an achievement.100% of players coming up against these motherfu*kers are generally going to be fu*ked over because Bungie know people will still buy and play this game so why upset the statos quo?

It literally can't be 100%. Obviously those not on the receiving side of cheating aren't upset. At any point, It's still clearly exaggeration of how many cheaters there really are, because we can see week after week people who go flawless completely legit without facing a single cheater and even some that do face cheaters and win. We see/experience flawless with friends, hear it on the forums, see it on youtube, and streams.

  • We are you defending cheaters?

  • Nothing about what I've said has been in defense of cheaters. I'm arguing that cheaters just aren't as rampant as some people assume.

  • The fact that you are saying they aren't as rampant as people assume is pulling attention away from them therefore making it easier for them to cheat, it might not have been what you meant but it was definitely implied

Implied nothing. You're inferring something I'm not doing. Not defending the outbursts and hyperbolic rhetoric doesn't imply defending cheaters. It's one thing to say hey, there's a problem here with a lot of cheaters ruining the experience for some people and they need to be dealt with. It's another to be like OMG 100%! OF PLAYERS WHO WIN IN TRIALS ARE ALL CHEATERS. ANYONE WHO DISAGREES IS EITHER DEFENDING CHEATERS OR A CHEATER THEMSELVES... It's okay to give anecdotes of personal experiences or the opinion that it feels like there's way too many cheaters. It shows how the community feels about the situation if a lot of people are saying the same thing. But we don't need ridiculous outbursts, hyperbole/exaggerations to put attention on cheating at all.

  • He never said 100% percent of people in trial are cheater, he said 100% of people in trials playing against cheaters are "pissed off", look I know what you are saying you've just reappeared yourself, and I will also repeat, that is what you implied, you can just tell me that my experience of a perspective is wrong because, you aren't me, beside that fact, I really don't see why you decided to focus on the finer points of his comments he had ever right to his opinion and you came across as a little bit douchey for immediately shutting him down because of the way he decided to present his message
