Anyone like this idea? A new type of special and heavy weapon could come from this

i bet you play blops dont ya?

It would be nice to add a little more of a stealth element to the game play... Maybe a mission or strike that would require you to get through making kills undetected or something... Idk could just make certain elements of the game more interesting.

I've wanted a crossbow since day one.
-
I would like a sling shot and a catapult please.
-
We could have something like the crossbow from Resident Evil 4.
Chemically treated arrowheads that explode on impact. Hell yeah!
-
I see a lot of grouchy hunters arising from the bow idea
-
I juet want the -blam!-ing axe
-
A special weapon bow would be pretty badass. If the enemy is far you'd have to aim a little higher than their head like in Tomb Raider. A body shot would do minimal damage but prevent recovery for 10 or so seconds.
-
Smgs and grenade launchers would be cool

You know something. When you add in all these crazy things, you dilute the skill of the game in general. It is meant to give players iwht no skill an opportunity to be good at the game. Why do you think quickscoping wasn't destroyed awhile ago. Because the skill gap in games was so high. So they made new playstyle in games that would not actually require a lot of consistant skill. It's a ohk from any distance. Once mastered, there is no down side. There is no real con. If you have good aim, you're unstoppable, unless the other player has their super basically. A sniper should be -blam!-ed if approached by someone. They shouldn't be able to just turn and headshot you from 20 feet while being shot. I don't care what anyone says, that is not fair skill. It is skill. But you don't give anything up by using it. A shotgun requires a closed distancr, dodging, and tactfully getting into the correct space. Not just camping shotguns. Sniping in this game requires you to stand and aim next to any corner, with your reticle at head level, from any distance, and pull the trigger at any point that their head is 1 foot to the left or right, and aim assist does the rest. Same with handcannons. Yes everything takes skill. But there's a reason why the absolutely crazy players in this game usually run around with a hand cannon and sniper. It's not just the meta. It's the game set up. And the risk to reward, once you learn the skill is the highest in those two areas. So add in more things that will 1 shot kill from crazy distances, this game will just get worst. Don't believe me, look at how cod has evolved. It went downhill once quickscoping came into play. Then they added cross bows and tomahawks. Crazy rail guns and all this shit that ruined the core game. Destiny is a great concept. But they are making it too vast, and too diverse, while the skill gap is a joke. One game I go 5.5 kd, the next I go .3. That's a joke. -THEGREATESTNIKE

Hold your horses. This isn't Warframe, we don't get cool stuff here.
-
Sounds neat, but I probably wouldn't use any of them. What I'd like to see introduced to the game more than anything is SMGs.
-
Maybe as an Exotic gauntlet perk that changes melee, but it can't be more powerful or more accurate than a Hunter throwing knife.
-
-blam!- no.
-
I saw boltguns and immediately thought, only a Titan could wield that and even then the continuous recoil would break their arm. Then I realized I was thinking of the wrong type of boltgun. Ehh, not big on the idea of such a low tech weapon against the kind of enemies we face.
-
Bows? Sounds like hunters stuff and xbows like a tool to move in the map but it maybe works as a heavy.
-
Ya idk why this is not a thing yet....
-
I'd rather see an smg
-
I'll take a primary bow that basically acts like a nlb, but would have to be arced for distance and have travel time.

This isn't Warframe.
