I assume you meant "traitor" rather than "tarot or". Spell check does some funny things. To answer: you're temporarily regarded as a traitor because you're aiding the enemy. No, you're not fighting against the City or its allies (Rasputin, the Awoken), but still: enemies are enemies, and in theory you're not supposed to help them.

Possibly, the subquests could have Zavala heavily bad-mouthing you, and maybe even have the Vanguard refuse to do any business with you until they're completed, when he realizes you did what you did to protect the City. Then he welcomes you back to the fold in a gruff, Zavala-ish sort of way.
