People tend to forget what a manipulating witch Triss is in the books and earlier games. Sure she's nice to Geralt and everything, but that's basically because she's super clingy and madly infatuated with Geralt. When Geralt loses his memory Triss' first reaction is to lie and say they're a thing to get him to sleep with her despite the fact Yen (her supposed best friend) and Geralt have been a thing for like 20 years at this point. It's also implied she had just been sleeping with Lambert like 20 minutes before Geralt walks in. She also sold Geralt and Ciri out to the lodge multiple times. Yen was designed by the author of the books to be Geralt's soulmate. They're meant to be together.

1 ReplyIf it was just me choosing and not following lore and shit. Triss. Redheads man.

1 ReplyEdited by Stormtroupe: 7/29/2016 1:49:20 PMI always got the impression that triss was too young for geralt. Also, Geralt does alot of bullshit lol. He needs yen to keep him straight

2 RepliesStrictly speaking Yennefer is more in keeping with lore and I believe she's the canon choice. That said, Triss is just too -blam!-ing nice so it's a goddamned hard choice. Just don't pick both. Never pick both.

4 RepliesYen was always a bitch idk how anyone wants her other than being the first girl. Even later throught the game (no romance quests yet) Triss is strong hearted but fragile. yen can survive on her own
-
4 RepliesTriss all day. She is sweet & loving and a fire ass red head. After finishing the Blood & Wine DLC I know I made the right choice
-
Definitely Yennefer. At least she's honest and open about being a bitch. Triss is much worse, but hides it by acting child like.

Edited by SirBigWater: 7/29/2016 5:56:03 AMI prefer Yen. So far Triss seemed a bit childlike and to desperate. Although it did suck to
Not do anything when she was dancing on the fountain at the party while drunk, as she looked like she was disappointed with how the situation went. Like she was embarrassed. And then when she left with the other mages, I said nothing to try to make her stay, she looked hurt.
. Yen seems more mature so far. I preferred her ever since I first saw her.

If you've read the books, Yennefer is the obvious choice.
-
Triss is a bitch.
-
Yennifer makes more sense story wise. I personally prefer redheads though

3 RepliesI'll take both

Yennefer, no contest. She's who Geralt loved from the beginning of the books. And her attitude in the game is no different to back then. If for no other reason, The Last Wish.
-
I went yen my first play through, I'm going to go truss in my NG+
-
2 RepliesI think Yennefer is the more lore-friendly decision, however personally I prefer Triss. Yen comes off as a nagging bitch throughout the Witcher 3, but I heard that if you read the books you get a newfound respect for her.

This is such a cruel choice. I always switch between playthroughs.
