So why is destiny not on PC
So ive always wondered why destiny isn't on PC, infact if destiny was put on PC it would increase sales and the player base and its (or atleast I would assume it wouldn't be hard) not hard to port a game to the PC since they're already ported destiny on 4 consoles (and theyre ending development on 2 of them) .so I don't really see any logical reason why destiny isn't on PC or atleast Destiny 2 not being ported to PC.
Also do you want to see Destiny 2 be ported to PC next year (or whenever they stop the delay of it and give us concrete launch date)

probably because of Activision, as everyone already knows, their company is only interested in profits, not player base, not costumer services, not me, not you... just the benefits of our pocket money and since of the downfall of Bungies Destiny 2, well i wont argue about how dissapointing Destiny 2 ended out to be and how the player base was treated with buying all contents on preorder to get limited the second Curse Of Osiris came out well that was just taking the cake of how low their company could sink. not that i enjoy the game but the way Bungie and Activition is leading the future of Destiny i dont see Destiny 1 being on PC, however it should have been from the very start as of Destiny 1 is my best gaming experience of all times, i if not have invested 1000s of hours on it would re grind EVERYTHING for the sake of playing it on PC.. Coming from an Xbox gamer the last 5 years to suddently move over to being a PC gamer i see how people will feel it as a threat, well because we all know that people playing Xbox will be like XBOX ONLY! aswell as PS playerbase will be like Xbox suck go PS.. well you know the drill but hey i have played across all consoles , PS1-4 Xbox original to 360 and Xbox One and so on been playing PC gamer aswell for many years, and recently i decided to let my xbox one with 100s of games into the dusty shelf and focus on PC again So yeah i would like to see Destiny 1 on PC, but i highly doubt it will be a reality though.

I don't really care either way. But I'd assume it was a lack of money somewhere. Maybe it was like the division where originally they thought there was a lack of interest?

The Xbox one and pc do have cross play, you can play rocket league cross platform and they also have many more in the works. Just a heads up since you are telling people about how servers work.

5 RepliesMoney is the reason. Its smart to just focus on consoles. PC gaming community has been shrinking for many years. With xbox 1 and ps4 they only have 2 setups to make the game compatible. With PC they have thousands of combination of PCs to consider that all have different capabilities. Coming from a former PC gamer.... it's also expensive to maintain a gaming PC to keep up with the latest games. One high end video card can run $800+. You have kids on here with legacy consoles complaining about upgrading to a sub $400 console. A base level gaming PC is $1200+.

4 RepliesBecause Sony are not fans of cross play means that Destiny will never be a p.c game , look up what's stopping Rocket League. With Microsoft edging towards cross platform gaming with windows 10 and the relationship Bungie has with Microsoft don't ever expect to see Destiny on p.c

If they expanded to pc all of their time would be focused on people hacking and they wouldn't be able to fix break everything that happens already.

PC-gamers would probably just start complaining about how it underperforms on PC, and how low the graphic settings are, etc. That's all they ever do when a console game gets ported to PC.

Because aim assist is a stat required for balancing guns, and since there is no aim assist on PC shooters the entire balance of the game would be broken. Also, porting it over PC would be much harder than another console port.

It won't be hacked, this entire game is run server side... The only thing you can actually manipulate is the viewable Assets on your end of the screen. Which is also a good thing so the modding community can create thier own Armor. Stop using the cheating excuse for keeping games of PC as a platform because stupid devs like Ubisoft don't know how to properly run a server side game.
