Guess I'm more skilled than I thought then

4 RepliesI rarely shotgun but i will give them this. To be top tier with a shotgun takes plenty of skill. Movement is just as important as pulling the trigger when using a shotgun to its full potential.

Edited by Hot Tasty Grits: 7/30/2016 8:27:33 PMA Titan is charging straight at me while I back pedal and unload just short of a full magazine into his skull. Right before I drop him he kills me with a shotgun ( Conspiracy Theory for the win). He then precedes to tea bag me and tell me how he is the greatest player that has ever lived and I was foolish for trying to lower his K/D. Titans with shotguns are like dumb animals charging blindly at you. You can either take them on and hope you get enough rounds in them to drop them or get slung across the map like a -blam!-ing matador that is dumber than the bull he was fighting . It's a sad state of affairs.

I cant snipe so....
-
It totally depends on game type. 3v3 or 6v6, and it definitely depends on what map too.
-
6 RepliesLol. FU shotgun guys who act like it takes so much skill.
-
Lol fusion rifle my ass xD

Each weapon has its own set of skills you need to master. Fusions require you to learn how to correctly pre charge not necessarily a problem for the high charge fusions, but if you want to hit harder, gotta learn how to pre charge. Shotguns require you to learn how to traverse the map without getting shot from long or medium range. You have to know your max range so you can win your battles, especially with other shotguns. Sidearms are supposed to be followup weapons. They are especially good with Universal remote and no land beyond. Snipers are supposed to be precision weapons. Use cover to your advantage and aim for the head. You must know your spots where people will not expect you and you can still get a few kills before moving to a different spot.

3 RepliesI would say in order: Fusion Sniper Sidearm Shotgun
imo
None of the above

1 ReplyI really think shotguns are really difficult to use....think about it you have to get close....(#satire)

Why isn't there an option for primary

Edited by Levi: 7/30/2016 11:10:47 AMThis is a text that a friend said to me: Both require some kind of skill. Snipers rewards precision, learning sigthslines and practise (obviously) so a high skill player might find snipers better. Althougt shotguns require high skill too, the diferences between a top player and that guy who is always rushing you with their Conspiracy theory are their movement habilities, map awarement and quick reactions. Is true that Destiny's map desing seems to favor shotguning and they have been very hated by the comunity because of those "beings" that just run and blast you in the face. But it shouldn't take off the skill of a good shotguner who has learnt how to make any aproachment, when to rush, when to hide, etc In my opinion, my friend has a good point. In addition, fusions are shotguns with more range xD and sidearms are easy to use in short range but useless in todays community :)
Sorry for english
1 ReplySidearm obviously. Worse phantom bullets than handcannons.
-
8 RepliesSniper should be bottom. I'm sorry, but hip firing snipers has become a thing. Hip-fire + melee. They're good at any and all ranges
-
Snipers with this much aim assist? GTFO 17% lol
-
Edited by RAcast: 7/30/2016 5:45:39 AMProbably sidearms. For primaries, definitely hand cannons. Hand Cannons. Even with a god roll you are at a severe disadvantage unless you know the exact timing you can pace your shots and you have to factor in enemy movements. All of this with a limited clip size and range. Using one viably is a challenge.
-
1 ReplyFusions are pretty hard to use. After all you got to figure out the right way to aim and fire one to one hit kill someone. Sidearms though, are a challenge. They are super hard using against shotguns and getting that close to an enemy, you might as well have a giant neon sign above you saying, "ALL SHOTGUNNERS SHOOT HERE!!"
-
I have been absolutely obliterating people in PVP with Plan C. I cannot recommend it enough, if you are tired of shotguns and snipers.
-
This question is... complicated. I would say either snipers or shotty. On one hand, sniping takes a lot of gunskill to truly master but with shotgunning you need to know your way around every map and know how to use your movement to your advantage. Coming from someone who only uses snipers, I think each type of special takes a different kind of skill to master.
-
Whatever special weapon I have equipped at the time. Have a nice day.
-
This polls name could be changed to "which special annoys you the least?", and it would probably look the same. Fusions are not that hard to use, and whether people like it or not, there is a skill curve for snipers. This poll isn't biased, but people are.
-
Sidearms then fusions. I run sidearms regularly fusions as a second choice. I say sidearms ate more difficult because you are literally outgunned by everything but if you use them properly you can wreck consistently.
-
I used fusions when they were easy. So I can't say they are challenging for me.

4 RepliesThe chaperone or sidearms.
