ask me halo questions

anything about halo to prove im not a destiny scrub, note i never played halo 2 and have never played halo 5. ODST and Wars included. edit: here are some uncommonly known facts i know 1. halo: reach's ranking system followed a sort of prestige type scaling similar to call of duty. you started at recruit and ended at general grade 4, then moved on to "named" ranks with unique badges such as mythic, hero, and reclaimer. each of these ranks took millions of experience to move up from the one before. once reaching inheritor, the maximum rank, you were awarded a special helmet: a reskin of the "pilot" helmet, but with a visible skull on the inside. 2. rtas 'vadum was the leader of the elite rebellion and commander of the separatist fleet after the brutes (jiralhanae) were promoted to the high guardians of the prophets. he allied with the UNSC, particularly master chief and the arbiter (this all took place during halo 3). he was killed when his ship was blown apart when the flood-riddled high charity appeared out of slipspace, blasting 'vadums ship apart. 3. arbiters are elites (sangheili) who have are chosen by the high prophets to go on special missions to serve the covenant. often, these elites are elected arbiter as a chance to redeem themselves after recently leading the covenant to failure during a particular battle or war. the more known arbiters are ripa 'moramee, the arbiter in halo: wars, and thel 'vadam, the arbiter in halo 3, known to follow master chief into battle by his side on numerous occasions. 4. brutes did not exist in halo: combat evolved 5. when playing one of the first missions of halo 3: ODST, the first mission where you play as buck, there appears to be a small squad of elites dead on the street near a truck. do note that you never encounter elites in ODST, and this is the only time they are even mentioned in this game. when you approach the dead elites, buck asks veronica dare, the captain of the team of ODST's, "what happened here?" to which she simply answers "its classified." 6. in one of the halo 2 cutscenes, captain keyes along with johnson and chief are sent to follow the prophet of regret's ship as it enters slipspace. since slipspace jumps too close to the surface of a planet will generally end up flattening miles of landscape around the rupture, the entire city of new mombasa is destroyed, where the covenant later send troops to clean up the remaining civilians and UNSC. the interesting thing is that in another halo game, this slipspace jump is witnessed from another perspective. when the ODST s drop from their ship, they fly through numerous UNSC and covenant ships as they battle it out. in the first ODST cutscene, you can clearly see the prophet's ship as it prepares to jump. in around the 5th mission of ODST, where you play as dutch, you are on your way to help a marine who is atop a very large tower near a wildlife reserve. on your way to the tower, however, the rupture occurs and the tower falls. 7. one of the more famous quotes from the halo series is "the weight of your heresy will stay your feet", one of the last words thel 'vadamee hears before being branded with the mark of shame. in halo reach, there is a zealot elite that you encounter during the mission "tip of the spear". when you encounter this elite, it will shoot you a couple times but will escape if you dont kill it fast enough. if you kill this zealot elite, you are awarded an achievement called "your heresy will stay your feet"
