So if time travel is a thing in the destiny universe, what's to stop guys like oryx/atheon/crota coming back?
Apparently Skolas pulled the whole house of wolves through time, couldn't he he bring his past self with him?
It would be a good contingency plan, should he get captured/eliminated.

The vex are the only ones that can "bring back" dead things but they are careful and precise about it, so as to not stir up time. Skolas was careless and some of those wolves maybe have had duplicates in queen gambit. All hell would have (likely) broken loose if we didn't kill all the wolves on the spire.

You forgot about our ghost. They bring dead things back to life as well.
