True, we're not going any higher, but so often BUNGiE has gear rewarded to us at 280-330, that getting gear from IB, at 334-335, is useful.
Not to mention, it being a limited time only event, it kind of sucks to get either a Mote of Light, Rare weapons or nothing, at all...
