Actually read this before commenting.
I think that shoulder charging out of a slide is ridiculous. Also in mid air. To shoulder charge you have to be running, not floating or sliding. It just doesn't make any sense and shouldn't be in the game.
Edit1: It's not the midair SC that bothers me as much as it is the slide
-
I agree with you on the sliding part. But there is a knee charge when in mid air. Why remove mid air charging? SC is fine. And this is coming from a Hunter main.
What bothers me is you can slide, shoot once and quickly shoulder charge afterward. Still not much of a problem though.

Do I get some respect for being a Hunter main that doesn't complain about anything? Or am I still considered a "Huntard?"
I commented without reading. Where is your god now?!

To pull this off you literally have a fraction of a second to do it, it can be very very hard and most of the time youll die anyway because of how many frames it takes to preform. When the rare chance it does happen its usually by a panicked low health 1shot titan who just got lucky
-
If you can't charge in the air, what are you supposed to do with peregrine greaves?
-
I don't mind shoulder charge as much as juggernaut. Shoulder charge take some what skill to preform and hit everyone should be crying nerf juggernaut
-
Easy answer. Shotgun. As someone that runs shoulder charge it only works about 65% of the time. Most of the time I get shot gunned down before hitting it or I run out of time at the last second. The only time it works is when you catch someone around a corner or the enemy isn't watching their radar which is their fault.

I read the whole post. My response is phucc this post. Yes, I main a Titan. Still, grow a pair. Fin.
-
Booooooooooooooooo!
-
They should let Titans blink. Blink sc would be even more fun than it is now.
-
Got anything constructive to say instead?
-
No. No nerfing needed. Stop the nerfing .
-
I accidentally slid shoulder charged someone once. I didn't know it existed, but I've never felt more dirty except when using MIDA 1-KYS in Trials. The mid-air is okay, because it obviously is intended to be in the game. Or else Peregrine Greaves would work on the ground, one hitting supers every time they even breathed. It would get SC destroyed.

*writes* "Slide+Shoulder Charge" Thanks for the tip!
-
Slide/evade shoulder charging does need to be fixed. I agree on this alone
-
Not really. The charge has to be done a fraction of a second after the slide, otherwise the charge goes away.

Edited by killsinthenight: 7/26/2016 7:57:30 PMOP has yet to manage a phantom with a sniping hunter, it must be the shoulder charge. Explain why the sliding should be removed. Exactly what about the mechanics involved makes you say that?
-
So, I used to run it when I first got in the crucible (don't anymore cause I want the max armor) and it's honestly not great UNLESS you're getting smoked in a fire fight by someone, you go to run, they give chase and you circle around a corner or something, turn around and smash them...that's actually kind of hilarious, but it's a rarity. It's more of a hassle than anything else. Not as easy to use as you might think.
-
Yea the sliding is bullshit, coming from a player of all 3
-
It's so overrated, wish people would stop calling for a nerf and no I don't use it.
-
The slide element came in with TTK and to be honest I would be fine with it being removed. As far as airborn SC I say leave it in but make forward momentum a requirement, so you would lose your charge if you floated straight up or met a solid surface that stopped forward progress. It isn't OP in my opinion but I would be happy to concede those changes.

U realize max armor can tank a shoulder charge. Have a nice day buddy
-
Can't really remove it's mid-air ability as there is an exotic based on it.

You main a Hunter

Edited by Hamlet76: 7/26/2016 7:10:27 PMI think it would be best for you to finish leveling your titan and try it for a week or so and then come back and see if you think it still needs a nerf. It doesn't make a lot of sense to ask for a nerf when you haven't even really played your titan. Shoulder charge isn't a win button. Honestly, you're pretty bad at crucible so I would try to focus on the things that you can control rather than worrying about shoulder charge and how it affects you. There are a ton of things to work on first before balance affects you at all. Not trying to be a jerk here but you're simply not skilled enough to know if things are out of whack or not. You typically don't see many people who are really good complain about shoulder charge and the reason is it's not broken at all. Good players can deal with it very easily. Work on what you have control over. Once you get better you'll see that shoulder charge is fine.
