A guardian lost his mother this morning
This morning my mother passed away of complications with from a recent surgery. I know many of you will question why I'm coming here to talk about this, but I'm really just seeking comfort wherever I can get it at the moment. In the last year and a half I've lost my father, step mother and now my mom. Do me a favor guardians and tell your parents you love them. Call them every day if you can because you never know when they'll be gone.

My grandpappy died when I was young, and that really hurt, but I'm ok now. You've just gotta move on and focus on other things for now. In time, you'll heal. I'm sorry for you.

Dude... I'm not amazing with words so apologies if this isn't good enough ? We have all lost people. Parents, brothers, sisters, friends. And when grief takes over, it does it differently with every person and you've every right to seek comfort in any form it takes. Pretty sure I speak for a lot (if not all) of the community when I say you're not alone nor do you have to deal with it alone. Having lost both my mother and father, I feel you. Life is a series of sometimes unconnected moments, other times it is a wonderous adrenaline fuelled, blood curdling ride that keeps getting ever faster to it's ultimate end. You have my deepest sympathies and warmest condolences. Please take heart in the fact that there are others like you out here, in this life, this time, this moment and take solace that our thoughts are with you now and forever going forward.

There's no right or wrong way to deal with the grief you'll be experiencing and everyone handles it differently. Only advice I can give after experiencing something similar myself is that I tried not to spend too much time on my own. We all need times to grieve in private, but for me, my friends became my support system, n even being in the same room n not speaking was enough sometimes-i knew they were there. Never be ashamed to show ur emotions-as difficult as that can be sometimes, but I genuinely believe bottling things up hinders the grieving process. If speaking to friends or family isn't really an option, try a charity like "The Samaritans" they can be very supportive in times of need. Hope I haven't come across as patronising-I'm just speaking from my own experiences. Take care Guardian.

4 RepliesI've been taking care of my mother for a few years now...she has M.S.. I am so scared every morning to come downstairs to her room and find her...gone. I am crying for your loss right now and have no idea what to say for you. I am so sorry. If you need to talk or vent or even just stay silent in a party with some other to hear our voices talking hit me up. I will try to be anything you need.
