Don't buy the pins w/ emblems on eBay. I suspect the pins will return.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the sold out pins will be back in stock. This is all assumption but I have reason to believe this:
1) The pins come in a very official-looking package that would be perfect for sale in stores or mass production.
2) Said package have mention of "Series 1" and suggests that the customers should "Collect and trade!". Trade? What is there to trade if there are only a handful of each and people want the emblems more than anything?
3) The pins have not been removed from the Bungie Store. I imagine they would remove it from the store should they not expect to sell any more (as they did after they stopped the 3A Titan figure pre-orders).
Don't support those ebay scalpers, I suggest waiting it out. Hopefully these pins will come back in stock!
EDIT: Check out the new Bungie Weekly Update, they are heavily hinting that the pins are coming back.

So I added both of them to my cart and as soon as I clicked checkout it said there was a problem processing my request and said these items are sold out. So what happened, did they literally just sell out again in like 5 minutes or did I just encounter a bug?

Which leads me to believe Series 2 of the collectible pins will be released (Could we finally get Sign of the Battleborn, I hope so) My money is ready to be donated the moment they are up (Don't worry, I'm not a scalper, since it wouldn't be fair to everyone else and the Bungie Foundation if I made a profit off scalping the pins).

I'm hoping the Bungie Foundation pins get restocked, I really wanted that heart emblem. My heart sank (no pun intended) when I found out I was an hour late and they all sold out :( I'll be keeping a closer eye on the Bungie store from now on though.

Who knows. They might. Either way paying a ridiculous price for an emblem is unjust. Hopefully they restock them for people.

Tricorn Series 1 pins that just came out will be worth a lot of money in a few years as long as you don't use the emblem code. Edit: to be clear this is for the tricorn emblem. The bungie foundation with the heart emblem will continue to be produced. They stated this on Twitter.

Commenting again, I just went to eBay. Holy shit, yeah don't buy it from them wait until it gets back into the store. 200+$ dollars for it is a huge rip off.

3 RepliesThey will definitely come back. The ghost plush and the emblem stress balls sold out within hours and they came back to the store. Specialty items don't always come back, like the figure you were mentioning. But pretty much everything else will. I missed out on a pin, I was only a few hours late, so I'm waiting for them to get back in stock so I can get one.
