Please don't take away the exotics due to a glitch
I already infused mine and everything please just let us keep it bungie it would make everyone in the community very happy.
EDIT: IT WAS MICROSOFT'S FAULT NOT MINE JERKS!!! I have purchased over 50.00 of silver t- shirts etc from bungie I should be able to keep it. I shouldn't have to pay 20.00 dollars for a three exotic class items! So if you wasted 80.00 on the collectors edition and whine and complain about people getting it for free then just leave.
EDIT2: It's like they bring you extra food that you didn't ask nor pay for and then ate it. What do they expect you to do? Throw it back up on the plate and pay on there mistake. And don't say that "I would have said something" or given it back. You know you would have taken it and not said a word.
EDIT3: thanks for those who understand I thought it was a free gift not a glitch on there part.
EDIT4: I just deleted the shader, emote, and class item I'm about a hundred percent sure they will remove it. Screw it this time, I'll preorder RoI. Have a great day.

4 RepliesIf you get food you didn't order or pay for, why would you eat it?? That's a pretty entitled thing to do and not expect to have to pay for it once you've eaten it. It doesn't matter if someone made a mistake when YOU know that the food isn't yours yet proceed to eat it anyway. It doesn't just automatically make the food yours free of charge.

Your first edit makes you sound super entitled. You're the reason why gaming sucks. Your second edit, what? I had that happen to me, I ordered two sets of wings at a restaurant and they gave me three by accident. I didn't realise at the time, had my meal (and shared because it was way too many wings) and at the end of the night I was charged for three sets. Yes, I do have to pay for that. If you get something that you didn't order you should either expect to pay for it or inform them and tell them that you didn't order that. You're owed nothing, my friend.

Actually, it's more like the time a delivery truck pulled up a week after moving into our new house. The guy only had the adress and no name, and the washer and dryer he was delivering were way nicer than ours. I could have let him install them and had him haul the older ones away, and it wasn't my fault they showed up. However, I knew I didn't pay for them like everyone else who had one in their home, and I'm an adult so I knew perfectly well that Sears would come knocking one day to collect the $1500, regardless of who's mistake it was. Pretty sure tears wouldn't have helped my case either. So I didn't get rid of the ones I had, and told the guy he had to be mistaken. And Sears wouldn't care that I'd bought all my vacuum refill bags from them for years either. Well aside from the real life/video game reality of it anyway. And I had a client buy me the collectors edition just for that extra stuff, so I side with the people who paid.

Some people spent the extra money to get these things where as you got it for free, sure you spent $50 worth of silver but that doesn't entitle you to anything, that's on you, I'm pretty sure the people who spent the extra $20 also bought silver so guess what, they spent even more money than you Its unfair that some people got the free glitch and other people didn't, and its especially unfair to those who spent the money to own the content You should have looked into the matter long before infusing the gear, all these things you call unfair are really all on you, its not bungie or Microsoft's fault that you didn't think clearly I didnt spent the extra because this it wasn't important to me and you shouldn't think of it as something so important to you

I mean I feel for you and am sorry that you infused them. I was agreeing with your post, but then you went on your little entitled rant and just made yourself look like a twat. How would you feel if you were forced to buy that really nice car that youve wanted for a while but the next guy in line got it for free. No strings attached. You'd be pretty upset (I hope).

I thought it was a gift too dude. When i saw the items i recognised where they were from but figured they must be just timed exclusives. I'm afraid there's no chance of keeping them as some people are losing their sh*t over people getting year old items for free 😀 which co-incides with bungie not wanting to 'lose money' (although i wonder what the man-hours cost of fixing it is). Thing is, it was a fun surprise for anyone that got them and if/when they take them away you can actually buy them as a pack from marketplace on the internet (not on the console marketplace though 😡) if you do want to keep them.

You should be able to keep it but it should be grayed out with a red bar on it that says "Requires Collectors Editions." Just like everyone else who has the item but doesn't have the collectors edition.

They should allow you to purchase it like everyone else and keep it, a retrograde purchase. You want it buy it.

I'm surprised the licenses haven't been revoked yet, it was only a day for the srl gear. I'd love to keep my emotes, but the only way I see that happening is if they deem it a waste of labour to rectify. I'd be annoyed if my loyalty by buying the collector's edition was screwed over by a mass free hand out of said exclusive content. Why would I ever buy another collectors anything from them again? But then again, Bungie has slightly different ideas on rewarding loyalty
