The Traveler Did Not Create The Vex
The traveler did not create the vex. I don't know why this keeps coming up in posts I read, but it isn't correct. The vex came to our plane after Crota was tricked by his sisters to cut a hole in spacetime and let them in to Oryx's Throne world. Causing Oryx to cut his time learning about the deep/darkness short. Because Eir one of the great worms told him to get his house in order. Oryx then throws Crota through the portal and tells him to return victorious or die forgotten. Read your grimoire people it's in the Books of Sorrow.

"Vessels of bronze" though is clearly the vex, so either that card is a holdover from the previous version of the story where the Traveller was evil and used the vex to create and eat dimensions, or truly at some point the vex really did cavort with mother gardener the Traveller. Crota let them out. But we have hints at what they did before in another life.

8 RepliesNot really. Crota allowed the Vex into Oryx's throne world, which at the time was seperate from our universe. Oryx sealed that wound and moved his throne-world into his newly created Dreadnaught. They came here through another route. Dr shim believes that the Vex came to Venus because of something the Traveller did, something paracausal. Shim believed the Vex ruins were from the past of an alternate Venus. They took up worship, allowing the Black Heart into the garden. None of this proves or disproves that the Traveller created the Vex. The Vex may just be another lifeform the Traveller lifted up.
