The Queen's ransom mission has an odd feature, the start of the mission has the player spawn in front of the Vault Of Glass, and it allows the player to activate and control the sync plates to activate the spire, which I never knew of. Is this an intended feature? If so, why does the spire always glitch and freeze in its framework state? Am I doing something wrong to cause this? Or was this simply not a "hidden" part of the mission? (Yes, I am playing the heroic version of the mission, and I have captured all 3 sync plates.)
Also, the main "circuitry" would partially form, retract without losing a plate, and then become frozen, forever (also, laser-pointer mechanism/vex key mechanism is intact, albeit floating among shiny metal framework). Also, the game does not crash, neither do I have connectivity problems or otherwise, and as a result, this leaves me rather confuzzled.

You don't need to form the spire unless you're doing the Vault of Glass raid.

You can always build the spire, no matter what mode put you there...
