Ban Shotguns in Crucible
So, after I finally upgraded my internet to the point I could consistently play crucible without debilitating lag, I've gotten pretty good. I've gone for about a 1.1 the past couple of months, and I feel like I'm doing pretty well.
I don't claim to be the best player in the world, but if you've stepped foot in the crucible, you know that the use of shotguns is ridiculous and the power of shotguns is ridiculous. Party Crasher, Two to the Morgue, Conspiracy Theory are the main ones I'm talking about. These one-shot-kill shotguns are everywhere and they require no skill to use. Someone explain to me how sprinting up to someone, sliding and then aiming your shotgun up towards your opponent should be an effective tactic for every map and game mode.
Twilight Gap for Trials really opened my eyes to this - shotguns have to leave the crucible. Maybe only in certain game modes, but crucible as a whole just isn't fun because you can't do anything. Spawn camping is rampant, especially with these ludicrously overpowered shotguns.
At the very least, make these a two hit kill. I don't know. But, dearest Bungie, if you want players to have choices in this game, ask yourselves:
"Why the hell are shotgun archetypes preventing other playstyles from [i]even existing[/i]"

Bro a shotgun is made for CQB close quater battles and why do you think it takes no skill? You need to be close to one shot which means it need skill to get into the CQB without being killed then the shotgun will shine. But other than that shotguns are really easy to avoid like my tatics are stay inbetween the "shotgunners field" and the "snipers field" and then you minipulate how the shotguns will have to attack and how the snipers will too. And yes i know some are skilled with both and wont have a problem being inbetween or even in the opposite zone. So lets look at dungeons on the dreadnought. In iron banner which was recently here i always went to flag B and controlled any shotgunners from the "middle drop" as i call it and any one coming fromeither side. Players at my skill level struggled to take me but players who are better could throw me easy. I know i have rambled on for abit but if you dont understand here is what im trying say. You need skill to be good at something even if its shotgunning to sniping

Umh... satire? If not then you need to play a lot more I mean a lot more and you will see that you are dead wrong. Your titan has the most time in the crucible with just over 24 hrs. Hate to say it but git gud scrub. People like you are why everything fun in this game gets nerfed

1 ReplyMy perspective on getting killed by shotguns vary. If I keep getting killed by a shotgun. Then I know I'm moving in too close with the loadouts I'm using. Since I use fusions, I have to pace my shot. Rarely can I get in a second with a shot gunner closing in. If though, I'm anywhere on a map and nothing is on my radar and I get killed by one and after death I see the guy running away from me. Then I know it's lag. That's the single biggest frustration. Not knowing how it happened because if lag.

Get a plan c and aim for peoples mid section. If the slide you get their head and they die. It has great range and can destroy people. Dont day somethi g doesnt take skill. I suck at slide shotgunning. I dont seem to get the one shot kill when I do it.
