I read somewhere that they tested their new steath tweak tool on neif. They nerfed armor by like 5 pts(lame) and increased heat generation by a little (ok i guess). You can actually notice it. I used to never overheat but now i do after ability every time.
My issue with this game is generally missile type characters dominating on consoles. You have nief/rocketeer/bruiser you will win every time
That's always been an issue, and it's the main problem that Nief has. Rocketeer was always a problem child even on PC, but in my opinion it's a bit more balanced by being a heavy mech. It's got shit mobility to make up for the firepower and in Bastion mode it takes extra damage from flankers.
The problem with Nief is that they gave a Berserker the kit of a heavy mech; it's got enough mobility to constantly dodge and disorient people, enough aim assistance to completely negate the high-reflex aim adjustment that normally comes with doing so, and a goddamned damage boost plus the kit items are something you'd never find on a light mech otherwise.
If they're legitimately nerfing that stuff, I just hope the Rocketeer isn't taken from above-average straight to shit-tier as collateral.
On the bright side though, for the first time in a couple years it sounds like Hawken might actually get changes or updates in response to the problems people have. So that's good.
Everyone just gets gen 2 rocketeer and just spam camp. I always see streaks with them. Only reason i went positive my last game is because i went neif last minute but only managaed to keep 20-30 to 30-40 even with my streak. They were all rocketeers but one neif and assault with smaller team but still lose
