I'm pretty sure bungie already stated there isn't an secret info in any of destiny.
The grim was writing last minute before release as a scrabble to make a story. This is what we know as fact, everything else is wishful thinking. Good post though. Interesting for sure.

This game has a very deep and detailed lore. It's confusing at first but after reading it, it makes sense. It's impossible to write this at the last moment.
-
Uhh no its not hard. Someone who has the basic story of the actual game can go and write the back lore for everything In a few months.

Edited by Fal Chavam: 7/21/2016 8:08:58 PMReally? Queen's ransom:
The Queen does not react. "What did he say?" "He says..." Variks hisses under his breath. "He makes no sense, my Queen. He speaks of...Light-Snuffer. Dark-binder." The Queen aims her eyes at Skolas, her expression unchanged. "I see." "He will not say more—" "He does not need to." She turns toward the door.

The Techeuns gather at the door as the Queen approaches it. Prince Uldren holds it open with a small bow, and the Queen touches his shoulder as she passes. "Send a Crow to Mercury. And another to our new friend in the Tower."
This was grimoire. This gave us the opening to the taken king. There's a bunch of secrets, it's just a matter of sniffing them out.

Yea. They write the grim a cording to what's in the game. And make up back story that barely makes sense as they go. Thay why it always seems like there's a secret to find since the grim is so freaking vague. Lol

The writing style of the grim is possibly modeled after From Software's style of lore. Dark Souls and BloodBorne never give you the full story. You have to search for it in item description and theories other gamers come up with. Then you use what you've read to draw your own conclusion. Difference is the the grim is pretty self explanatory. TTK story is explained in The Books of Sorrow and if that isn't enough lore for you then you must need it spoon fed. Everyone who complains that the lore is vague must not have played DKS or BB. Lore in those games is vague as hell and a lot harder to connect without some basis.

If anything its inspired by Bungies own Marathon franchise, especially Marathon: Infinity. People are still having debates about Marathons story more than two decades after the last "official" entry in the story.. As examples: Is the character named Roland symbolism for strauss or an unseen A.I in the backstory? How about the character Charlemagne? Who is the girlfriend in the Marathon: Infinity dreams? Is she the same character that met the protagonist of the kill your television terminal at the garden at the beginning of the world, where she smiled at him before consuming the trees with a blue transclucent flame? Is her name Corta.....uhhh. Does the hero go forwards or backwards? Or does he go sideways, is there a world of worlds and he a spider on a web searching for victory? Who is Rasputins cousin?

I didn't say anything about nothing being enough. I'm telling you whay we know as per what they said when they game released. The grim wasn't even a concept until the Las few months before it the game out. They wrote it because they felt the story was very lacking, this is also why it doesn't have an in game source. It's easy to make up whatever story you want on paper and feed it to the community when the story in the game barely makes sense.
-
I thought this was common knowledge
-
Yea me too, it why I'm confused and don't care why people are asking for proof. The prof was all over the forums the first few months the game was out.
-
Can I have a source on this?
-
Uhhh, just about ever gaming source thay did interview in the last year leasing up to the games release, do you not keep up in the gaming world.
-
Burden of proof lies with you. You are the one claiming this so provide the source to back up your argument.
-
Um no, the burden of proof lies with someone else who care enough to know themselves and go find it. See yall mistake that me saying anything was to try to prove something. I only stayed what I know from following intently. What yall believe is on you, I don't care nor ever cared. I was only responding with info. What yall do with it is up to you. You believing me or not does not change the outcome of my day in any way.
-
This is response in no way, shape or form was meant to effect your day. You didn't provide a fact you provided a statement and when asked for proof you refused to give it. Which makes what you stated null and void. That is how a debate works. Burden of proof lies with you since you brought it up.
-
I presented what I know as fact, and do not care what anyone else thinks abouts it. If you wanna know more go find, cause as I stated, let me say it slower. "I... DO.. NOT.. CARE... WHAT....YOU... BELIEVE"
-
If you know it's fact, then you can back up your claim with that fact. As has been pointed out, it's burden of proof. You made the claim, therefore the burden is on you. Just stating it is fact DOES... NOT... MAKE... IT... FACT... The grimoire was already in existence several months before launch So it was a concept long before launch.
-
Why so snarky? He only asked to see a source...
-
Do you expect me to go ign, gamspot, kotaku, or any of those sites and try to sift back 3 years worth of archived interviews? I think not. I work 60 hours a week, I'm not taking 2 hours of my free time to try to prove a pointless point he can prove for himself.. lololol. No.
-
That's not how it works though. You're the one who made that claim, therefore the burden of proof is on you.
-
Please refer to all of my replies about how I didn't make any claims to which I cared if you believed, thus meaning if you want prof go find it on your own, I've have no desire to care what anyone else thinks, I made a simple reply to what I know. By the time it took you to be annoying you could have started you search already.
-
I work 60 hours myself but if I'm in a debate I do go back and search for sources when asked. So try again. The condescending tone of your posts doesn't help your point of the argument.
-
I wasn't in a debate. I simply stated what I know. You don't like it, go find it. If I cared if you believed me I'd go spend a few hours sifting through old article and from post to show you. But guess what? I dont. This wasn't a debate. You're trying to make it one and I don't care to humor you.
-
This was a debate the instant a counter argument presented itself. On numerous occasions you refused to present a source to back up what you claim to be true. So for intents and purposes your argument is flawed. If it takes hours for you to Google “Bungie's grim was made last minute" to provide a source and information to your argument that seems to me you have never been challenged on what you say. If you feel I'm forcing you into a debate you have every right to leave, mute me, or any number of things. It would just show that you really did have no evidence to present and were just spouting off at the mouth nonsense.
