Here's how you use Defender: In Neutral game 1. Charge in with a shotgun, try to trigger force barrier with No Backup Plans. 2. If you don't die, and the shield absorbs the next hit, maybe get a double kill. 3. Switch to Striker because Shoulder Charge + Transfusion can accomplish the same thing without restricting your exotic armor and special weapon slot to a specific build. Shutting down other supers 1. Throw suppressor grenade. 2. Facepalm as your grenade misses due to the fact that they blinked/lunged out of the way and killed you. 3. Switch to Striker because Fist of Havoc will shut down roaming supers with no strings attached. Using Super 1. Set up bubble. 2. Wait a few seconds for someone else to pop it and kill you in the process. 3. Switch to Striker because they have so much more going for them.

Just use a shotgun with AoL. No backup plans helps too. Force barrier is pretty good if you actually know how to use it. Always use suppressor grenades to keep those pesky arc blades and stormcallers away. Just a few tips for ya ;)

I do think it is one of the harder subclasses to use, and why you don't see many of them in PvP, but I think it's also one of the most balanced. Set up with WoL and the right gear and then play OUTSIDE and AROUND the bubble to effectively shut down anyone coming at you. One hit body shots ftw. Yes a buff to the bubble would be great but that means bungie fiddling and then we end up miles down the rabbit hole with a class no one wants to use!

I agree with you concerning the bit about the argument being silly, but nothing else. Several classes, Bladedancer and Stormcallers for example, have no counter to the Ward except to enter and challenge the Defender. Suppressing enemies inside the Ward would make it go from too easy to counter to impossible to counter. It's just not going to happen. The "neutral" columns available to the Defender contain four talents that affect the super and nothing else. No other class has a similar circumstance. That, in my estimation, is the real problem with Defender. You want to take one of the two talents that grants an effect apart from Ward of Dawn and replace it with another talent that only affects Ward of Dawn. That is a move in entirely the wrong direction. The Ward is somewhat comparable to the Sunsinger's Radiance in that (with the exception of the deployable cover) it primarily buffs the Defender in the capacity in which he would normally engage enemies. If the Defender's neutral game were to see improvement, as I assert is needed, it would have the effect of increasing his capacity to fight in and around the Ward as well.

I agree with you but I wish add new extoic armor for self destruction bubble. Hear me out. Once active super bubble but what if enemies come in or near it. Then active your super again then bubble will explosion itself but enemies inside is dead. But enemies outside of bubble will push back and get damage ( if enemies hit the wall then die quicker) or if near it like a wound enemy will die too.

You defenders asking for a "suppressor bubble" have no idea about what are u talking. What do you want? to be an inmortal being inside your bubble? News for you: thats not going yo happen. So, dear intolerant egocentric, you are fine with armor of light inside the bubble. My only complain its the survivability of the defender outside supers/melee. As i said in my "defender is weak" thread.

If it needs a buff please give some examples? I'm all behind buffing them but tell us how.
